Budget Find: J.Crew Wool Pants for $25

theeverygirl_budgetfind_capripants

J.Crew is undoubtedly a go-to for classic and colorful style, but some of the pieces can come with a cumbrous price tag for ladies on a budget. Thankfully, the brand loves to gift its shoppers with frequent sales, and this week is no exception. By using the code STYLE2013 you can get 30% off all sale merchandise in stores or online. You may remember seeing these dazzling wool cafe capri trousers on editor Alaina Kaczmarski at fashion week (hers are retro jade). For only $34.99 + a 30% discount (for a total of $24.50!), they are a steal! But hurry, the sale ends at midnight tonight.

I have a bright blue pair that have served me well. They are so worth it and very flattering!

If only they were lined…there can’t be many people out there who can comfortably wear unlined wool pants. I’d have them in every color, otherwise!

I might be mistaken, but I think the Factory version of these are lined.

I have to agree with instantphoebe, mine are lined!

I love these pants! I have them in black and navy – definitely a wardrobe staple!

I never even went near J. Crew until about a month ago thinking that they’re pricey price tag was WAY out of my budget, but low & behold I had no idea they had such great sales and great opportunities to get quality merchandise. One of my New Year’s resolutions is quality of quantity and J.Crew will so be on my list of shopping stores if they got adorable pants like this for only $24.50!!! Wow! =) Very cute!

Can anyone tell me how these fit?  Are they pretty true to size?  I typically wear a 6 in pants but have a curvier bottom and thighs.  Should I go with 6 or size up?

    • Michaela Allen

I have a couple pairs, and they are true-to-size in the waist/hips for me, but they are a more relaxed style—the rear and thighs are almost kind of baggy. So I would think these would accommodate your shape just fine in your regular size!

I have a curvier bottom and thighs as well and along with the above wool pants, highly recommend the ‘Winnie Pant’ from J.Crew factory (http://factory.jcrew.com/womens-clothing/pants/chino_cotton/PRDOVR~28637/28637.jsp). I have them in Navy, Casablanca Blue, and Vibrant Flame. They stretch out a bit though so buy your normal size. I am 5’2″ and these pants hit me right at the ankle, which is perfect for flats and heels.

Thanks for sharing this! Totally agree – J.Crew has perfect staples but sometimes they can be too expensive! I’ll be taking full advantage of this sale. Thanks ladies!
