Coffee Talk: Favorite Wine for Under $10 & National Cupcake Day Wine Tastings

theeverygirl_cupcake

We believe no one should ever show up to a holiday party empty-handed, but being a thoughtful guest can get expensive. A bottle of wine for under $10 makes the perfect hostess gift and can double as extra hooch if the night carries on and the eggnog disappears! Our go-to budget-friendly bottle? Cupcake Vineyard, preferably in Chardonnay and Red Velvet, no matter the occasion. Whether we are enjoying a glass (or three) with the girls or hosting a dinner party, Cupcake takes the cake for the us given the price point and lack of headache in the morning. Of course, we’re always looking for new options so tell us: what is your favorite wine for under $10?

Also, on Friday, Cupcake Vineyards is toasting National Cupcake Day! They will be in New York City giving away cupcakes from their cupcake truck and offering free tastings at select stores throughout the city. Lucky New Yorkers. Check out times and locations here:

My favorite wine under $10 is a chianti at Trader Joe’s. I can’t remember the exact name, bit it comes in the straw casing and is more than a regular bottle of wine for only $9.99. Pair it with black pepper crusted tuscano cheese and dark chocolate covered sea salt almonds (also from TJs) and you have the PERFECT wine night for the ladies.

Love Cupcake wine! Unfortunately, in Montreal the bottles are more like 16-17$ :(

I am a huge fan of the Cupcake wines, their Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio top my list. I have also recently started drinking Junebug wines, which I find them at Target, usually about $8.99. Not only is the wine good, they price is spot on and the labels are super cute!

Mmmm was just drinking Cupcake Sauv Blanc the other night! I also love Macaron (another wine with an adorable baked good name, of course) when it’s on sale :)

This is more of a summer wine but I loooove Espiral Vinho Verde (I buy mine at Trader Joes)

Well, I’m a huge fan of wine on a (Natty-Ice) beer budget.  So this is my forte!!  My absolute favorite is Apothic.  It is a red blend that it full-bodied and fruit-forward..just how I like it.  It technically exceeds the $10 cap at $11 and some change, but I usually buy it when on sale at BevMo or the grocery store for around $7.  Also, McManis Cabernet is delish for only $10.  Again, full, fruity and this one has a nice hint of oak :)

I tried some Cupcake Vineyards Red Velvet on my birthday and now it is my go-to reasonably priced wine to  have on hand.

    Cupcake Malbec is another goodie!

I like Trader Joe’s Sara Bee Moscato. It’s about $6 -$7 per bottle and tastes yummy.
