Coffee Talk: Is Honesty Always the Best Policy?
Sure, we all like to think of ourselves as honest, truthful people. That may be accurate (for the most part) but are there ever moments when you wish you told a lie rather than the truth? If your boyfriend attempts to make you a romantic dinner and the chicken is undercooked, do you grin and bear it, or tell him to stay out of the kitchen? Then there are the more serious issues. If you know that a friend of yours is being cheated on, do you stay out of it or do you tell her the terrible news? Is it always better to be honest, even if feelings are hurt? Does it matter how serious the subject matter? What's your policy with honesty?
