Expertise

Ashley’s first love in life writing and, since working at The Everygirl, her passion for writing has grown to encompass all forms of content creation. Since joining our company, Ashley has grown her creative instincts and merged them with metrics-driven strategy, and she brings a fresh perspective to our team. With her background as a registered nurse, Ashley has expertise in communicating with team members, clients, our audience and is an experienced performer in high-pressure situations.

Experience

After receiving her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at The University of Michigan, Ashley first pursued her career as an emergency department nurse in Ann Arbor, Michigan. While she enjoyed the challenge that came with being on the frontlines of patient care in high-acuity settings, there was a large part of her that missed channeling her creative side.

She started freelance writing and personal blogging in 2018 and joined The Everygirl team in 2019. Since then, her role has grown to a full-time capacity in which she functions as a Branded Content Managing Editor as a part of our sales team.

Fun Stuff

If she’s not walking the Chicago Lakefront, bar hopping in Old Town, or perusing the aisles of her local Trader Joe’s, Ashley is snuggling up with her overweight-but-don’t-tell-her cat, Gizmo, on her couch. She enjoys wearing blazers while getting fancy drinks on expensive rooftops—but not quite as much as heating up some leftover vodka pasta while sporting an oversized groutfit and shedding a tear while trying to power through another episode of The Vampire Diaries. Her comfort movie is The Parent Trap and, one time, she brushed shoulders with Alec Baldwin while she was stumbling to get bagels the morning after a night out in New York.
