We’re not sure if you’ve heard but The Everygirl team has grown over the past couple of weeks: Caitlin Brown, Chloe List, and Mary Mullen have joined on as styling, graphics, and writing interns, respectively! We thought a fun way to introduce them would be by having the whole team compile a list of their favorite summer picks ranging from fashion and home accessories to beauty products to cocktails. Sticking true to our mission, all items are priced under $100. And remember you can click on any of the items in the slideshow and it will link to the site for purchasing.

Steven by Steve Madden Crossbody Bag: I saw a gal at a party wearing this last weekend, and it immediately caught the attention of everyone around. It’s available in an array of bright neons making it perfectly on trend for the season, and the practicality of a crossbody bag leaves your hands free for easy maneuvering around crowded street festivals and concerts that entertain Chicagoans throughout the summer months.
West Elm Glass Blown Hurricane: I keep the larger version of these glass hurricanes on my living room coffee table but regularly bring it onto the deck when I’m entertaining in the summer months. When you’re starting out in your first place, it’s wise to invest in items that will work in several places of your home or that you can get use of year-round.
Blair Ritchey Tassel Keychain: Blair Ritchey’s fringed leather accessory makes it much easier to find my keys in the black hole that is my handbag.
Very Classy: Part two in the series by author Derek Blasberg is the perfect beach read: fun and quick. It offers tips, checklists, diagrams, and quizzes with the intention of helping girls up the class and hide the, well… ass.
J.Crew 3″ Chino Shorts: Black, white, neon orange, minty green, yellow, navy… I would have these chino shorts in every color if my bank account allowed. Not only is the style comfortable and well-made, but the colorful options always get compliments and the neutral colors act as my go-to until it’s jeans season again.
Bobbi Brown Beach: I’ve been wearing this scent every summer for as long as I can remember. It’s light, airy, budget friendly, and reminds me of California.
Whipped Cream and Pear Candle: This is one of the most delicious smelling candles I have ever owned! It makes my little apartment smell like there’s a cake in the oven. I want to eat it.
Gold Athena Tray: It is no secret that I am obsessed with this thing. It receives more attention and compliments than anything else in my home and bounces back and forth between my TV stand and coffee table.
CB2 Format Tray: This is on my list of things to purchase for my new home. Now that I am moving to a larger space, I can see entertaining more than two people at once. I can’t wait to carry drinks and apps out on this chic little tray.
Soludos Espadrilles: The thick navy and white stripes. The raffia. Hello, summer!
Pomelo Wine: I’m typically more of a red wine person, but a friend introduced me to this sauvignon blanc a few weeks ago and it’s become my new favorite. It’s just fruity enough, and super refreshing in the summer.
Jess LC Silver Cloud Tote: I just started using this tote to carry around everything from my laptop to my beach blanket to books. It’s the perfect size, obviously adorable, and I love the positive message!
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer: I swear by this stuff in the summer. It gives just enough coverage but leaves your skin glowy and dewy, without feeling thick or heavy in the sticky summer heat.
Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray: I’ve always had really fine hair, but when I use this, I feel like I have twice as much hair as I do. My miracle product.
How to Be Single: The perfect summer novel whether you’re single or in a relationship. It takes you through one woman’s journey to finding out how other women are single all over the world. The perfect beach read!
Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray: This stuff is like miracle potion for people like me who have naturally pin straight hair that refuses to hold a curl. It can be applied to damp hair or day-old hair and still leaves it looking naturally voluminous and wavy. Makes for easy summer styling!
Free People Colored Denim Cutoffs: I bought a pair of Free People cutoffs last summer in classic denim and have worn them religiously. Since I know they’re not only affordable but can last through more than one summer, I can’t wait to snatch up a colored pair or two to add to my rotation.
Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment: I already have owned many a tube of the classic lip therapy, so I will definitely be trying out the new coral shade of the tinted lip treatment. It’s perfect for girls like myself who love the coral lip trend but aren’t quite ready to graduate to full blown lipstick. Plus, it has SPF to keep your lips healthy all summer long.
Topshop Denim Vest: Since my mom won’t let me cut the sleeves off of her GAP denim jacket from the 90s, it’s looking like I will be making this investment. Denim vests are great for layering, and can take even the simplest get-up from somewhat dull to effortlessly cool.
Rebecca Minkoff Cory Pouch: I’ve seen this perfect little pouch inscribed with “party girl” and “tanorexic” and glanced over it, but as soon as I saw “summer of love” I knew I had to have it. I love that it’s a constant reminder of the happiest of seasons.
Linen Cardigan: I am a huge grandma when it comes to cardigans… I love to layer them over plain t-shirts or tanks and pair with jean shorts on cool, summer nights. This one from J. Crew is such a pretty color, feels like heaven on your body, and is light enough to wear during the summer!
High Beam Illuminator: The best make-up purchase I have ever made. Last summer I discovered this after stalking Carrie Underwood’s make-up regime, she’s always glowing and this is her secret! I’ve used this just about every single day since I bought the bottle last summer and I still have a lot left. I add a dab to my cheek and eyebrow bones for the perfect amount of shine.
Sperry Rose Golf Boat Shoe: Growing up in Fort Lauderdale, boat shoes were always in style and most everyone owned a pair- I even wore them with my school uniform! When Sperry started coming out with some really cool colors and styles of the classic boat shoe a couple of years ago, I was so smitten. I love these rose gold ones, a classic shoe with an updated look-perfect for summer!
Tennessee Honey: This whiskey is my favorite liquor to drink during summer months. It’s smooth and sweet and is awesome with sweet tea or lemonade over ice. My favorite though, is to make a mojito with Tennessee Honey, serve to guests in mason jars at your next party- they’ll be impressed, trust me!
Topshop Coral Stripe Bikini: During the summer, nothing is more important than a bathing suit that fits well! I love this bandeau bikini because it also has strings to tie around the neck. A bikini top like this is usually a little risky for me since I’m…er, well-endowed, but this one supports, lifts, and holds still. Oh, and did you see how cute it is?!
