TRAVEL GUIDE: The Inn at St. Botolph in Boston

The Inn at St. Botolph

When planning our journey to Boston earlier this year, we went to work scouting somewhere to stay that was centrally located, charming, and obviously, budget-friendly. When we came across The Inn at St. Botolph, we knew we had found a winner. Cozy fireplace? Check! Chic urban decor thanks to designer Celeste Cooper? Check! Close to Starbucks? Check!

After long days of running around the city for photo shoots and meetings, we returned to our quaint little inn tuckered out, ready to climb into our fluffy, four-poster bed for some girl talk, a glass of chardonnay, and late night edits to the following day’s feature. It wasn’t long before our alarm clocks would ring and we’d be up again, thankful for the complimentary assortment of breakfast goodies waiting for us in the lobby to get us fed and ready to embark on another exciting day in Boston. Bagels, English muffins, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, orange juice… just what we needed to fill our bellies.

A standard room at most boutique hotels in major cities will easily run several hundred dollars a night, so it’s no wonder that most of us find ourselves opting for the nearest Holiday Inn after already spending money on airfare and car rentals. Luckily, The Inn at St. Botolph provides a more charming alternative. We don’t yet know when we’ll be back in Boston, but we do know where we’ll be staying when we get there.
