We’ve finally passed all the check marks that make it “almost” spring — it’s April, there’s sunshine, and we are ready to shed those wool layers for linen and trade our head-to-toe black for color and florals (we know, groundbreaking).
With the help of Ann Taylor’s newest spring arrivals, which are marrying luxewear with pretty spring styles, we curated some cool, versatile, comfortable outfits that will take you through your busy weekdays while letting you feel totally weekend. We’re loving these classic bright colors on fresh, boho shapes, and transition sweaters and pants that still scream springtime fashion — and they all look ~incredible~ on our model and friend, Chicago-based fashion and travel blogger Ceta Walters of Clark and Stone.
1. The statement dress you’ll never want to take off
This outfit is sunshine in a midi dress. Drapey in all the right places and both sweet and bold in this bright buttercup color, we’re hoping to find any date night/wedding/big-time bunch/anything at all to wear this boho floral midi dress. Keeping our shoe and bag choices neutral (can we talk about how versatile those patent leather heels are?) let us play up the boldness of the yellow with tassel earrings.
2. Your new favorite office staples
Whimsical ruffles and sharp pleats? Weekend and office? Yup, you can have ’em both. We plan on living in these wide-leg cropped trousers all season long, and paired with this slim cobalt and cream striped sweater, we can’t help but feel more than a little Parisian. These ruffles—peep the peep-toe leather ruffle block heel sandals, too!—add just the right amount of springtime flair to a classic look.
3. The day-to-night piece you need for spring
Okay, I have to show my cards here: I swoon over every jumpsuit I see, so this oh-so-chic on-the-go look is just speaking to me. The ruffle neck jumpsuit is super versatile, and we chose to dress it down by slipping a bright white tee underneath and pairing it with a statement color block straw tote. The leather block heel sandals add the perfect amount of comfort and lift so you can strut like you mean it, whether you’re running errands or grabbing dinner with friends.
Whether it’s for the office, for a lunchtime stroll, for a coffee date with a friend, or for an evening out, these outfits will carry you through the spring season, which is all about freshness and comfort.
What are your favorite spring trends? What are you looking forward to about spring fashion?
