"One Day More." "On My Own." "I Dreamed a Dream." "Bring Him Home." "Stars." "Who am I?"

I know every word to every song and have since the ripe age of 8 when my mother first introduced me to the broadway masterpiece, Les Misérables, the musical adapted from Victor Hugo's novel of the same name. Sometimes I daydream I'm on a stage as Eponine, singing "On My Own," and bringing the entire theater to tears. True story.

Combine my favorite  songs with some of my favorite actors (Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne (tell me you saw Pillars of the Earth)), and let me just say, I haven't been this excited for a movie since 2005 when Joe Wright remade Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfayden.

Hi folks, Alaina here. Is anyone out there as excited as I am for the film adaptation of Les Misérables due out Christmas day? Or are you like my coeditor (who will remain unnamed) who claims she's never seen it? Tear. No worries—I'll be dragging her with me next week. Naturally, we are spending the holidays together.

Don't know what I'm talking about? Shame on you. Long story short?

"Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption—a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever."

And for those of you who don't like reading, here's the movie trailer. At the very least, Anne Hathaway's heart-wrenching version of "I Dreamed a Dream" should be enough to convince you this is going to be amazing. Free Oscars for everybody!

And for those of you who do know what I'm talking about, we've got great news! We are giving away two tickets to see Les Mis opening day! And not just that...

One Winner will receive:
• $25 Fandango Gift Card - aka date night for two!
• a super sweet Les Misérables T-shirt
• journal so you can start penning your own masterpiece
• the official soundtrack (I'm jealous)
• an ornament (also jealous)
