Hear This: A Fine Frenzy

With hauntingly beautiful lyrics, Alison Sudol of A Fine Frenzy has become one of the most unique singer-songwriters in music. Her music has been featured on some of our favorite television shows, including House, How I Met Your Mother, The Hills, and Vampire Diaries. Not only is she an incredible artist, she also has such a passion for literature that a verse form William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream even served as the inspiration behind her professional name, A Fine Frenzy. While some of her older albums have gained popularity, her latest album, Pine, is a nice departure from the melancholic tunes of albums past (not that there aren’t a few good sad songs on this one). Pine is the perfect, mellow rainy day record that definitely deserves a listen. Wondering what to listen to first? Try one of her classics, “Almost Lover”, “You Picked Me”, or “Blow Away”.
