Social Media Coordinator — Danielle Gibson Events

Location: Napa, CA
*Candidate may be remote
Part-Time (10-15 Hr/Week)

At Danielle Gibson Events (DGE), we are always looking for new ways to connect with
clients and engage in conversation with them digitally. We’re seeking a part-time Social Media Coordinator to manage our Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and website for both Danielle Gibson Events and our sub-brand Take Time to Toast (TTTT).

As the Social Media Coordinator, you will facilitate engagement with social communities 3-5 days a week and shape the visual content for each platform. Most work will be independent and we’ll communicate via email + a monthly check-in phone call. Phone calls may be more frequent in the beginning.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and execute social media content and strategy across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest)
  • Curate a social media marketing calendar that keeps key moments and marketing initiatives on the forefront while ensuring the content is engaging and relevant (one calendar for DGE and one calendar for TTTT)
    • Find relevant “holidays” such as International Women’s Day and plan social media campaigns around these days
    • Create content + plan ahead for U.S. holidays like Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving and Galentine’s Day to ensure the DGE + TTTT accounts have relevant photos prepared
  • Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and provide monthly recaps
  • Keep up with trends in social media tools, applications, channels, and strategy to determine which are relevant for Danielle Gibson Events and Take Time to Toast
  • Post on Instagram and Facebook 3-5 days a week (DGE and TTTT)
  • Curate Instagram stories for TTTT (3 days a week) + DGE occasionally
    • Sometimes DGE will manage the DGE/TTTT Instagram stories when we are onsite at events to give the audience a “Behind The Scenes” look
  • Become an advocate in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
    • Engage with relevant brand mentions/tags
    • Spearhead innovation and forward-thinking around community growth and engagement
  • Keep our DGE + TTTT accounts up to date.
  • Post copy content from Instagram to Twitter 3-5 days a week and retweet/respond to relevant content on Twitter at least once/week (DGE and TTTT)
  • Update Pinterest with new creative monthly (DGE only)
  • Keep the DGE website up-to-date with information and photos (minimum of quarterly updates or as needed pending relevant events)

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • A passionate, creative digital marketer with 2+ years of experience specifically in
    the social media space, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook,
    Twitter, + Pinterest
  • A keen interest in the events industry
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
  • Advanced skills in WordPress/Go Daddy website hosting and editing
  • Strong and proven copywriting skills
  • Highly organized individual who can multitask
  • Desire to work within a fast-paced environment

  • Creative, both in terms of marketing ideas and strategies + design wise!
  • Excellent communication skills – 1) We are a virtual team!, 2) This job requires to send a lot of emails and build mutually beneficial relationships through writing. Plain and simple, you must be able to write clearly and persuasively.
