Description: Are you an obsessive pinner who can get lost for hours looking for photos?  Do you tweet at all hours of the day?  Is creating videos in your spare time something that inspires you?  Skirt PR, one of the fastest growing fashion, beauty and lifestyle publicity and events firms, is looking to expand their social media department.  This position is full-time salaried with benefits, including attending mainstream and niche conferences and fashion, beauty and lifestyle events.  We are a full-service publicity firm based in Chicago, IL with a national reputation for excellence, implementing successful and measurable programs for our elite and fast-growing clientele.  The successful candidate will join our internal publicity team working with all areas, including design, PR/writing, multimedia and strategy development.  This candidate will oversee and contribute recurrent content to holistically support our brand, customers and objectives.  Ideal candidate will possess a natural ability to engage their clientele and develop successful viral strategies.

Responsibilities include being a leader in strategy and creative sessions in developing program elements that align with current or potential clients’ objectives; setting goals and timelines for deliverables to ensure on-time presentation of all campaign-related materials; leading and developing a team of social media interns to maintain focus on quality and timely delivery; creating and executing social media strategies to their maximum potential in order to fully address the client’s endeavors; establishing and fostering a solid, long-term relationship with key clients and prospective contacts; partnering with business development team to pursue opportunities in pitch creation and scope expansion; developing in-depth knowledge of industry best practices and tactical online marketing plans and managing overall account profitability; monitoring and evaluating social media results on a daily basis in coordination with client facility goals and benchmarks.

Requirements include proven proficiency in written and oral communications (i.e., copywriting, editing, presentation) is essential, as is the ability to interface with colleagues at all levels of the organization, including senior management; passion for applying social media and Internet marketing to meet business goals and objectives; keeps pace with trends and developments in social media and Internet marketing. understands social media platforms including YouTube, Digg, Reddit, Flickr, Twitter, Vimeo, blogs, etc; knowledge of (SEO) Search Engine Optimization methods and applications; strong writing and proofing skills; outstanding ability to innovate and think creatively, and to identify and resolve problems; attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-oriented work environment; ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and ideas; high levels of integrity and self-motivation!

Limited travel is involved and attendance at events/work functions is a must.  Health insurance offered, as well as 3 weeks paid vacation time.  We also offer flexible hours and bonuses!
