Radiant Orchid is the color of 2014, so says Pantone. This vivid blend of fuchsia, purple, and pink adds a fresh pop of color to any beauty look and best of all, it works with different skin tones! Whether you boast porcelain skin or are more olive-toned, this standout hue can be incorporated into any beauty look; it can range from a subtle pop of the pink to a high-impact feminine look. Beauty guru Erin of The Sparkle and Vancouver-based style bloggers Alexandra (To Vogue or Bust), Alicia (Alicia Fashionista), and Jen (Her Waise Choice) have teamed up to share their beauty routine tips and tricks with us. Radiant Orchid never looked so good!

Golden Undertones
Jen's skin has warm golden undertones, so Erin kept her foundation base simple in order to let the lip color pop. A light, flawless foundation application and subtly defined brows did the trick. A wash of M.A.C.’s Mineralize Glass in Got Style! added the beautiful pop of Radiant Orchid color and a layer of semi-transparent gloss helped boost the vibrant mauve tone.

Olive Undertones
Alicia has a beautiful olive complexion that pairs perfectly with the vividness of Radiant Orchid. Going bold with her look, we used different tones of the shade on her eyes, cheeks, and lips. Quick tip: the trick to maintaining balance is keeping a light hand when applying product. A light application of the palest shade in M.A.C.’s Mineralize eye shadow in Medley of Mauves added shimmer to her lids and we used M.A.C.’s eye shadow in Vibrant Grape as an accent in the outer corners of her eyes. Next, a light dusting of M.A.C.’s powder blush in Full of Joy on the apples of her cheeks created a beautiful glow. Finally, the enitre look was pulled together with a swipe of M.A.C.’s Mineralize Glass in Got Style! on her lips (the same color used on Jen). Gorgeous!

Rose Undertones
Alexandra has a classic porcelain complexion, so vivid Radiant Orchid really pops against her skin tone. To ensure her look wasn't overwhelming, we used minimal eye makeup. We applied M.A.C.’s powder blush in Full of Joy (the same used on Alicia) as a sheer wash of color. A swipe of CoverGirl’s high impact Divine on her lips completed the modern yet chic beauty look!
