Surprise! Wedding Week Extended!

teg_surprise_blog

You may have seen this coming when we told you how many features we’d have during Wedding Week, but we are excited to announce that the celebration will continue through May 18! This means that we’ll have another week of Coffee Talk and This or That posts! So tell us: are there any wedding topics you’d like us to bring up?

Stay tuned for:

  • wedding tabletop decor three ways by talented stylists Anne Book, Cassandra LaValle, and Camille Styles (check out their respective inspiration boards here, here, and here)
  • career profile on Chicago-based boutique pastry catererCeleste Dolan (whose sugary confections you’ve already seen in our fashion feature!)
  • career profiles on two uber wedding planners extraordinaire: Lisa Vorce (the bigger the better for this talented lady) and Mindy Weiss (celebrity wedding guru—Gwen Stefani, Katy Perry, and Ellen DeGeneres are just three of her A-list clients)
  • a recap of our super fun event at BHLDN in Chicago

We hope you’ll enjoy today’s feature on Style Me Pretty founder Abby Larson!

I gotta say I’m not a wedding girl (I let my mother enjoy planning mine; the only things I really cared about were the groom and my dress), but I’m totally digging your wedding features!

Wedding week has been wonderful! I’ma ctually getting married in 4 weeks (eek!!)
I would love to have a convo on more of the budgeting aspects of wedding planning. Don’t get me wrong- I absolutely know how to budget (and love reading those features on the Everygirl!) But, one of the hardest things for us in planning our wedding was that there’s nowhere to gauge how much these things cost from the start. I’ve never bought photography, or flowers, and had no idea how much something like that would cost to begin with. It was frustrating putting together a budget when you didn’t know to start with 5 or 10K as your basis.
    Just a thought :)
