This or That: Dancing or Dinner on New Year’s Eve

theeverygirl_thisorthat_partyorrelax_blog

The hype of New Year’s Eve either brings excitement or angst. Is it the time of year to go out and buy some new dancing shoes and a little sequined number? Or are you opting for a relaxing dinner with a few close friends? When ringing in the New Year, are you going shout the countdown in a crowded club with champagne and friends in tow? Would you rather share kisses at midnight over wine and dessert with your closest friends? Do you buy into the expensive evening out or have you moved on to a more laid back New Year’s Eve? How will you celebrate the first hours of 2013?

In my early 20′s I loved to go out and party, so my NYE’s were often spent in a flashy dress, with my hair all did, dancing in shoes that would grind my feet to a pulp. These days I am happy just to go out for dinner or over to a friends house for a smorgasbord of appetizers, good company, and fun games.

I’ve never gone crazy for New Years Eve…I’m a quiet dinner w/ close friends and midnight kisses indoors…One year though I HAVE to go to Manhatten!! It’s on my bucket list! Maybe next year…

I love dancing but so many miserable nights out on NYE makes me sway towards dining out & having a few cocktails! New tradition is my boyfriend and I host a huge party in our building to raise money for charity!

Maybe a dinner and dance party? I will say, I’m all about being low-key, so a relaxing (yet delicious!) dinner with friends would be lovely.

quiet night with my best girls! making dinner and desert and savoring the warmer weather and lighter evenings by eating outside. This is to be followed by a champagne breakfast to ring in 2013. Happy New Year Everygirls!
