This or That: Flowers or Plants

The smell of fresh flowers and the ethereal beauty of potted plants add such life to a home. Placing a vase on the dining room table or on a bedside stand brings cheer into a room. Green plants, on the other hand,  provide color, height, and cleaner oxygen in your living environment. Do you prefer vases of flowers or pots full of greenery throughout the house?

    I cant choose! I usually have both my in apartment. I am not the best at remembering to water plants tho so I tend to go with the plastic look :

    I prefer the look of flowers, however I have potted plants in my house. I just cant justify the expense of buying myself flowers regularly.

    I do both! We have a tiny apartment (35sqm) and everywhere they can get enough light there are plants, but I also love to bring in fresh flowers for the table :)

    Flowers give so much color and freshness, but you have to replace them so often! If I had an unlimited flower budget, I would choose them, but I don’t, so I’ll go with plants! I love green, and pretty plants make a space more organic-looking.

    I definitely prefer flowers. I have a hard time keeping plants alive. To get the best of both worlds I have some incredible fake plants from IKEA. They look totally real and brighten up the room.

    Flowers, always! Love the colors & fresh look it can give to a table or a dresser. If I find myself refreshing flowers too often, I opt for Orchids because you only have to feed them ice cubes once a week, plus they last quite longer then regular flowers.

    I love fresh flowers. I can never seem to keep potted plants alive because I forget I have them around.

    It’s too difficult to choose just one. It’s always lovely to top a table with freshly cut flowers, but then it’s a relaxing effort to take 5 minutes of your day to water your potted plants.

    Both! I have potted plants but I’m also a sucker for fresh flowers on my tables & kitchen island as often as possible :)

    I’m definitely more of a flowers girl. Especially since I really don’t have luck keeping plants alive, and flowers have a much shorter shelf life!

    I can’t choose either! I love plants for their longevity, but you just can’t beat a fresh bouquet of peonies. Waking up and taking in that smell… perfection!

    I am leaning towards “This” but I guess “That” is more practical. The flowers in in jars reminds me of my friends wedding which I posted about. They had flowers in jars and it looked great.

    I personally prefer flowers, but the lazy and busy part of me likes green plants because they are easier to upkeep, and I also have an easier time keeping my cat from eating them and getting sick.

    I have vases spring-fall, then I have potted plants in the winter when I cant open my windows and let the fresh air in! I love having color in my home!

    I love flowers! They’re bright and pretty and colorful and make the room seem happier. See, even in your plant photo, there’s a picture of flowers! Anyone remember the computer game The Sims?! Even their happiness factor increased if there were plants placed around them! There’s definitely something to it.
