This or That: Gifting Edition! Clothes or Accessories?

theeverygirl_levis

“Better to give than receive,” the adage goes. Here’s to wishing for more specific advice. While it may be better to give than receive, it certainly isn’t any easier. Shopping for others can be an absolute nightmare. Everyone has that “…but I don’t need anything!” friend or the always-underwhelmed family member, two creatures that make it all but too easy to throw up your hands and vow to only hand out gift cards the following holiday season.

We want to know, what gifts do you like to give? Are you a girl who has the confidence to guess clothing sizes, fit, and style for your recipients? Or do you prefer to be a bit more diplomatic and give fun accessories: patterned socks, knit scarves, and colorful baubles?

    Accessories!

Funny now that I think about it, I go the diplomatic route with women and typically buy them accessories, but don’t mind buying clothes for men – I guess I think ladies are more particular about how clothes fit (which isn’t a bad thing!)

I love to give accessories, but I like to get clothes!

Accessories for the ladies, clothes for the men.  I’m so afraid my friends won’t like the way something fits, and the boys in my life don’t care, I guess!

It really depends on the person, if I know their size and I definitely know their style, I’ll buy them clothes. If I’m not sure about size or their style is a mystery to me, I’ll buy them a neutral but trendy accessory.
