This or That: Play or Concert

TEG_Blog_ThisOrThat_Theater_Concert

An evening at the theater is the perfect opportunity to slip on an elegant dress and enjoy dinner at your favorite restaurant. Watching a play like Les Misérables or Rent is a breathtaking experience. You can’t help but feel sophisticated and cultured when you’re at the theater. On the other hand, going to a concert is a great excuse to put on your favorite pair of jeans and hit the latest hotspot. Jamming with your friends to the live music of an artist like Florence + The Machine or Adele always proves to be a good time.

When you’re planning an evening out, would you rather attend a play or a concert?

Attend a play. I prefer something more low key after years of attending crazy concerts. I love Operas, Broadway shows & Cirque du soleil is always on the top of my list.

a concert!! love being able to dance around rather than sit still for a few hours

If I am planning an event out to dance around and have fun with friends, then I would go to a concert. I like to see my favorite songs performed on stage!  If I am planning an event that is a bit more low key, I would love to go to a play – a musical specifically!

Definitely a play! There’s good energy at concerts, obviously, but live theater fills me up in a way that nothing else can. It’s mesmerizing!

Looking forward to two great plays in the near future (The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and My Fair Lady) as well as one concert (Macklemore). Life is good!

I had never even heard of him until Bailey of Peppermint Bliss posted one of his songs a couple weeks ago. Now I’m obsessed. I think I bought tickets to the concert that same day she posted!

Definitely a concert. I love music and I feel like it’s more laid back/casual and that’s more of who I am :)

I would have to say I want the experience of both. I have never really been to either and done the full experience of each. I have attended some plays and one or two concerts but I don’t think I have ever received the true experiences encompassed with them.

Hard question. I love both but they so different…I guess right now I prefer a concert. My last one was Coldplay and they rocked!!! I felt 25 again…
