The Everygirl has teamed up with bloggers, stylists, and sisters Stephanie and Darlene of Glitterary to bring you three spring trends two ways. Whether your style is feminine and classic, or you opt for the more edgy and bohemian—trends should be worn in ways that fit your own personal style, and these two do just that! Originally from Alaska, these sisters document their fashionable adventures while sharing style tricks they’ve learned along the way. Stephanie and Darlene describe their style as the perfect combination between real life and sparkle. Today, they share their “Glitterary Genius” twist on this springs hottest trends.
Nothing keeps you on your toes quite like wearing all white all day, but the statement is definitely worth skipping that glass of merlot, especially when it accentuates your new spring tan. For a casual white on white look, mix textures. Darlene paired her flirty eyelet dress with fitted and carefree linen blazer, while Steph contrasted her denim with an airy linen shirt.
While we all have that go-to pair of jeans, it’s time to give your denim a break and grab a pair of printed pants for spring. We’ll be the first to admit that printed pants aren’t always the most flattering, but if you get the right print you can transform a simple outfit into a covet worthy style. Don’t be intimidated by this trend–start with a small print, balance it out with a simple top, and volià.
Maxi Dresses & Skirts
Maxi dresses are back and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Flowy, structured, printed or solid–the options abound and this trend is here to stay! Maxis are a great choice for any occasion and don’t have to be dressed up. Darlene quickly fell in love with this floral linen dress and dressed it down with a cropped jacket. Stephanie went a more edgy route with a high-waisted slim silhouette paired with a basic v-neck tee and statement necklace.
