From the east to the west (and you know, in the Midwest most of the time these days) we can all agree that the time has officially come to stash away pants and sweaters and break out those shorts!
To show us some fresh ways to flaunt our shorts (and legs!) for spring, we brought in the experts. (And by “experts” we mean California girls, of course.) Style bloggers, Candice of CandiceNikeia.com, Hannah of Champagne Lifestyle, and Rachel of Lovely In LA know a thing or two about warm weather style. Read on to see how they styled their favorite shorts from Gap Factory.
So regardless of where your plans take you this season, you’ll want to take note of these styling tips for every occasion!
Name: Candice of CandiceNikeia.com
Favorite pair: Blue Striped Factory City Shorts
Wear them to: Weekend coffee with the girls
“I love the pretty blue hue of these shorts—they add a great pop of color and pattern to any outfit. Plus, they’re so comfortable and versatile,” Candice says. “They’re also perfect for a day at the beach!”
Candice styled her blue striped shorts with a white button-down shirt and denim jacket for an outdoor coffee date with the girls. To top off her summery look, she added bright red lace-up flats for an extra punch of color. “These shorts would look just as flawless with a cute crop top for an outdoor concert,” she adds.
Name: Hannah of Champagne Lifestyle
Favorite pair: White Factory Eyelet Shorts
Wear them to: Daytime date or party
“I was immediately drawn to these white eyelet shorts! I love their feminine edge,” says Hannah. “The beautiful weather here keeps me constantly on-the-go, so it’s great to have shorts like these in my wardrobe that can be easily dressed up for a special occasion like a shower, party, or day date.”
Hannah paired her shorts with a chambray off-the-shoulder top to add some flirty personality, and topped off the look with tie-up cognac colored heels and a boho purse.
Name: Rachel of Lovely in LA
Favorite pair: Factory Boyfriend Shorts
Where them to: Out and about!
Drawn to classic staples (aren’t we all?), Rachel loves a pair of great fitting denim shorts.
“I tend to look for denim with a little more give, and these shorts have the perfect amount of stretch in them. They’re great for my active lifestyle,” Rachel says. “I love that this classic silhouette can be thrown on with my favorite t-shirt to run errands, worn to the pool over my swimsuit, or dressed up for lunch or dinner.”
Rachel went with a versatile “go anywhere” look, styling her Factory Boyfriend shorts with a fitted, button-down blouse and a white tank. We suggest wearing flats for errands, and swapping for neutral wedges for dinner!
