Fashion Essentials: Red Dress

In parts one, two, and three of our Fashion Essentials for The Everygirl, we shared the must-haves that belong in every woman’s wardrobe. Now, every two weeks, we’ve teamed up with some of the web’s best bloggers to share how functional these essentials can be. Today, we have Alex from To Vogue or Bust showing us two versatile looks with the same red dress.

Styling Notes from Alex:

Nothing says the holidays like an LRD (Little Red Dress), and this number from H&M is perfection. It’s chic, festive, but above all else, it really makes a statement! While most people buy LRD’s with an event or party in mind, they work equally as well in urban-friendly daytime looks. A plaid scarf, slouchy grey coat, and menswear-inspired fedora helps ground the bright pop of color, while red lips and a ladylike bag keep the look holidays-apropos. Of course though, this dress is too perfect for a party to not take styling up a notch! A silver clutch, statement necklace, and shoes completely bring the dress to life – throw a leather jacket on to keep the look from being too femme!
