Philadelphia: The Continental Midtown

With swinging cage chairs, couch-like booths and dramatic lighting, not to mention delicious food, The Continental Midtown has a trendy vibe and amazing menu to match. Located in the heart of downtown, The Continental Midtown boasts a unique tapas-style menu of sharable portions including cuisines from all over the world. The menu is both budget-friendly and has plenty of options for those with restrictive diets, so order a bunch of dishes (they recommend 2-3 per person).

We recommend their famous shoestring fries, which arrive at the table in a giant heap and come with a spicy Chinese mustard sauce, and the crispy calamari salad, which has the perfect calamari to vegetable ratio, accented by a slightly tangy soy dressing. We recommend stopping by for dinner, no need to dress up, and don’t worry if you forget to make a reservation, they usually seat guests quickly, even without one.
