Yes, it’s November, but 25 days is not even close to enough time for celebrating the best time of the year. So, I’ve had to find ways to bring Christmas into my life when everyone around me is yelling “it’s not time yet!”
Every day, I come home, get in comfy clothes ASAP, choose a Christmas movie (because again, there’s too many good ones to only watch 25 during December!) and light one of my 30 holiday candles. I’m immediately transported to snow-covered streets, stores full of Christmas trees, and ice skating at the city center.
Because candles are such an important part of this pre-holiday ritual, we thought we’d share all of our favorites to get you (and your home) in the mood for the season! It’s complete with all the firewood, peppermint, and spiced wine your nose could handle.
Holiday Classic Candle
You've seen this one in our homes for years, and it's still our favorite. It smells like Christmas, and the sleek, gold jar is going to look amazing on any table.
Sugar Cookie Classic Candle
For those of you who love any and everything sweet during the holiday season.
Feu de Bois/Wood Fire Scented Candle
How could we talk about winter candles without this classic? It smells like a winter day in a forest, but there's also some sexiness in there. I don't know how they do it, but I'm obsessed.
Hanukkah Candle
I got a Homesick candle for Christmas last year, and it's still one of the most special gifts I've received. This year, they've brought out four amazing holiday scents to bring you back home for the holidays. This Hanukkah scent will remind you of potato latkes with apple sauce and fresh jelly-filled donuts from the market. YUM.
Japonica Large Glass Jar Candle in Gilt Pomander & Hinoki
These candles burn forever, so you'll get your money's worth. This candle has notes of gilded holly berries and cardamom, but it isn't overpowering or too strong.
Crushed Candy Cane Classic Textured Glass Candle
If you're a serious peppermint lover, you'll love this. It'll make your whole room smell like a candy cane forest. It's the real deal.
'Tis the Season 3-Wick Candle
Scent memories are a thing, and this candle reminds me of every Christmas Eve party at home. It's become a family tradition to burn this candle, and I'm sure once you get your nose in it, you'll want to burn it all December long, too!
Winter 3-Wick Candle
This is the candle that takes me to ice skating on the square as a kid. The only way I know how to describe this scent is a snowy day. Once you smell it, you'll know what I mean!
Flannel 3-Wick Candle
Remember the last season of The Bachelorette when Becca had the guys dress up as lumberjacks? This is exactly what I imagine a hot lumberjack who lives in a cabin smells like. It has notes of musk, but there's also a little sweetness, so it doesn't smell like a full-on lumberjack man.
Champagne Jar Candle
This candle smells like a Christmas party in a jar! All you need is some real champagne to get the party started.
Ornament Jar Candle in Peppermint Red Velvet
If you're into peppermint scents but don't want to go too crazy, this is the one for you. The sweetness of the red velvet makes it more "peppermint mocha" rather than full-blown candy cane. You also can never go wrong with anything that looks like an ornament!
Votives in Fir and Firewood
The Fir and Firewood scent from Capri Blue is definitely my favorite Christmas tree scent — but it's pretty strong. I prefer to get it in the votives and put them in all of my favorite candle holders. If you can't handle the mess of a real tree but love the scent, this is your fix!
Pine & Eucalyptus Scented Candle
Jo Malone candles are so luxe and special, so I love having them out for the holidays. This candle has a nice tree/pine scent, but when it's coupled with the eucalyptus, it's exactly what I need to wind down after a long day of gift shopping!
Holiday Tin Candle in Mulled Wine
This is a nice bridge between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm burning this adorable candle as we speak!
Frasier Fir Candle Travel Tin
You don't always need a giant candle to fill your whole house. This small tin is great for adding some festive cheer to a bathroom or night stand.
Fir & Leather Container Candle
The Hearth & Hand candles are amazing if you want a quality, sophisticated scent on a budget. They smell almost identical to some expensive holiday candles for less than half the price!
Teakwood & Currant Container Candle
Okay, first of all, I'm going gaga over this gorgeous red candle! The amazing mix of musk and berry scents are just an added bonus.
Ceramic Candle in No. 30
I'm a sucker for the Candlefish candles, and this one smells exactly like a Moscow Mule — it's insane. I burn this on my bar cart to make it smell like I'm always whipping up my favorite winter drink.
Peppermint Scented Soy Glass Candle
Our favorite natural cleaning brand has soy candles, too! After you wipe down all your surfaces with the Mrs. Meyer's Peppermint Cleaner, you can burn this candle to make the scent last all day long.
Winter Berry Candle
The name of this candle is exactly how it smells. It's frosty and snowy, but still sweet and fruity. You can't go wrong!
