Your Next Holiday Party Planned, from Menu to Music

We already shared a few ideas for festive snacks and sips, but we thought we’d take it one step further and give you all the ingredients for a perfect holiday party. You know, just in case you’ve been short on time this year (aren’t we all?) and still need a menu plan for your soirée—we’ve got your back. We’re giving you everything you need to throw a simple cocktail party—drinks, appetizers, and desserts that are all easy to make ahead and a fun playlist that will have your guests in a merry mood. The best part? A timeline to help schedule and plan, with perfect timing to get it all done.

The menu consists of small food items designed to be eaten easily and with your hands, so guests won’t need to juggle utensils. The added benefit? Minimal dishes at the end of the night! As the host, your duty becomes quite easy—turn on our holiday tunes, keep the drinks flowing, and start mingling. Oh, and don’t forget to toast the festive evening with family and friends—cheers to throwing a successful, stress-free holiday party!

Throwing a party is much easier when you have a plan. Avoid feeling frazzled when guests arrive by following our timeline above.

  • This being my first holiday season as a newly-wed, I’m really looking forward to hosting some cocktail parties in our home. I can’t wait to try out the recipes you mentioned!

  • How do get the filling for the devil eggs to look so perfect? Although mine taste great, the presentation always looks a bit sloppy.

    • ‘Becca’lise Deveaux

Put it in a frosting piping tube thing. Or I put mine in a ziploc bag and cut the corner out and squeeze it out into a little swirl, and then add a dash of paprika.

  • I love this easy-to-follow guide! While I plan marketing events for a living, I still don’t feel comfortable entertaining at home. These steps make me feel like I can be a hostess too!
