Adriana graduated with a BA in English Literature & Criticism from Hunter College. As a Mellon fellow at Hunter, she wrote an academic journal article about the representation of soul food in The Bluest Eye and the novel’s connection to the ‘Soul Era’ of the 1960s, later published by Harvard University.

In her free time, Adriana can be found reading library books, making café-worthy iced lattes, or solving crossword puzzles. Her name is pronounced “Ah-dree-ahna”.
