What would you do in this role?

The Everygirl Social Media Editor will be responsible for creating and scheduling social media content across all of The Everygirl brand’s social profiles. The Editor will craft a cohesive brand experience across all platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, as well as emerging platforms. The Social Media Editor is instrumental in translating the brand’s lifestyle content, current events, and other stories from our sites to social media audiences, and growing our audience and driving traffic to the sites.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the scheduling and organizing of multiple cross-functional content calendars and scheduling tools while determining the optimal time and strategy for posting across Instagram, Instagram Stories, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, new and emerging platforms
  • Work collaboratively with social media team, editors, and graphic designers to ideate and create high-performing content across all platforms as it aligns to the over social media marketing strategy while providing expert suggestions
  • Manage team assignments to provide timely feedback and meet deadlines
  • Review, proofread, and edit completed work before posting
  • Assist Senior Social Media Editor in developing new innovative ideas for all social channels and grow reach and engagement
  • Stay up to date on key industry trends, competitive insights, and emerging social media, marketing, and e-commerce technologies
  • Track engagement and traffic to the sites
  • Set creative direction for social media content across all platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and new relevant platforms
  • Prioritize video content creation and quickly ideate, shoot, and edit short-form videos
  • Create eye-catching graphics using templates in Canva

 

Skills

  • Strong social copywriting skills and ability to tailor content to different platform audiences
  • Detail-oriented, data-driven, and organized; able to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver on strict deadlines
  • Strong project management skills
  • Comfortable with data analytics and experience navigating social media data dashboards and reporting
  • Experience and comfort in a nimble, fast-paced start-up environment on a highly collaborative team

Compensation

Range: $55,000-$64,000; Salary is commensurate with experience and location.

About the position

Are you excited about all things social media and interested in learning skills to make it your career? Are you a creative, internet-savvy individual with your pulse on everything trending? We’re looking for a motivated, knowledgeable intern to join our social media team.

 

What would you do in this role?

As an intern, you’ll work closely with our Senior Social Media Editor and assist our social media team with running The Everygirl’s and The Everymom’s social media platforms. You’ll brainstorm, pitch, and create new and engaging content with the goal to increase brand awareness, drive conversions to respective sites, and manage The Everygirl Media Group’s brand image. You’ll learn how to further develop your social media skills in a professional work environment and how we operate as a media company. This internship is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in social media.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to create informative and entertaining graphics and video content
  • Monitor and post to platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Twitter
  • Analyze post performance and analytics to gauge success
  • Research topics and trends to cover as well as creators to partner with
  • Help coordinate and organize the content calendar for efficiency
  • Participate in brainstorms and content ideation
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest TikTok and video content trends, and brainstorm ideas on how we can show up with these trends

Qualifications

  • Must have a passion for social media marketing
  • Prefer candidates have a good understanding of The Everygirl brand and voice
  • Strong creative and analytical skills
  • Basic knowledge of creating graphics in Canva
  • Knowledge with Google Docs and Google Sheets
  • Have excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Be able to work independently and have problem-solving skills
  • Have excellent time management and communication skills
  • Be willing and able to collaborate with our team on content ideas

 

Requirements

  • Must have your own computer and reliable Wi-Fi
  • Must be available two days per week 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (CST); preferably Tuesday and Fridays.

Are you the friend who’s always testing the latest tutorial trending on TikTok? Do you enjoy talking about beauty and giving product recommendations? Are your friends constantly turning to you for help to hone their makeup skills? We’re looking for beauty-obsessed writers to join our team!

You’ll pitch and write new and engaging content for The Everygirl site, working directly with an editor. At The Everygirl, we bring relatable, helpful, and engaging beauty content to our readers in a fun way that empowers them to embrace their unique features, enhance their self confidence, and have fun with beauty products. We strive to make our readers’ lives easier; whether it’s sharing attainable makeup hacks, the best shampoos for dry scalp, or seasonal nail color combinations so they don’t find themselves panicking at the salon.
