After you’ve gathered your materials, paint a solid-colored base coat onto your nails. Then, paint your next shade into a bullseye pattern onto the makeup sponge. Blot the sponge onto the nail until the shades are blended seamlessly. This technique can get a little messy, so once you’re done, clean the edges with your nail polish remover and a Q-tip.
