About My Skin
I have sensitive, combination, and acne-prone skin (every girl’s dream, I know). No makeup artist, beauty counter employee, or chronically online friend has been able to pinpoint my undertones, so I’ve always landed on neutral-toned products. The skin around my eyes is thin, nearly translucent, and very sensitive to products and makeup. That area specifically tends to get patchy and dry in the winter and oily in the summer, therefore, my standards are very high.

The Verdict
I’m the type of person who would fail the Stanford Marshmallow Experiment every time, so I ripped open my Colleen Rothschild package to swatch the eye cream on the back of my hand the second it arrived on my doorstep. It was late afternoon, and I washed and dried my face with my tried-and-true beauty product pessimism. You can skip the brushes and sponges–this is a hands-on product (literally). After doing some research (scrolling through TikTok), I found that it’s best to apply with your finger and to start with a very small amount. I carefully applied the product with my ring finger as I’d seen a dozen influencers do before me… and immediately perked up.
It took clean skin, a pea-sized amount of this peach-tinted eye cream, and a few taps of my finger to fade away nearly 25 years of “Are you feeling OK?” comments from family, friends, and employers. While this product doesn’t have the full coverage of a concealer, it gives me that perfectly refreshed, model-off-duty glow I’ve searched for my whole life. It both acts and performs like luxury skincare.

This Illuminating Tinted Eye Cream is now one of the few products that I can say immediately makes a difference in my appearance. I’ve introduced it to friends and family of all ages and skin types, and when I’m packing only the essentials for a weekend trip or a day away, it always makes the cut. It’s the answer to my dark under-eyes that I’ve been searching for since I was a pre-teen.

The Price
I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on concealers, serums, and creams in my life. I’ve considered under-eye PRP, filler, and have zapped my face with what feels like every gadget on the market. So, while this $48 eye cream isn’t drugstore cheap, it’s surprisingly affordable—and if you use code EVERYGIRL20, it’s less than $40. Not only does it cut the tubes of concealer I have to buy to nearly zero, but it also requires such a minimal amount of product that I’m confident it will reach its 12-month expiration date by the time I’m done with this tube.
