Experience

Averee has loved writing from a young age, but knew she wanted to be a journalist professionally after she interviewed her congressman for her high school newspaper. She grew her love of lifestyle media while interning at Her Campus in college and then continued her journalism education at Columbia Journalism School, where she specialized in digital generations and social media trends. Averee is currently hustling as a full-time freelancer in New York City, writing for wellness and lifestyle publications (with other side gigs in between).

Fun Stuff

When she’s not reading and writing for work, Averee loves to read for pleasure and has officially become a Kindle girlie. She is also a cookie and coffee connoisseur and loves to try out new cafes and bakeries around NYC. Hot girl walks, testing out new recipes, scrolling social media, and watercoloring are other fun things she’s obsessed with.
