Every once in a while, a buzz will start in our office that eventually becomes loud enough that it’s impossible to ignore. It happened a few years ago with Abercrombie’s ’90s jeans, then again when everyone needed to get their hands on a pair of Birkenstock clogs. And after a slow burn, it’s become clear that it’s happening once again—this time with Quince.

It all began last winter when The Everymom’s commerce editor, Jess, couldn’t stop singing the praises of their viral $50 cashmere sweater. $50 for cashmere sounds too good to be true, but she swore it wasn’t and loved it so much that we had no choice but to hop on the bandwagon along with her. Since then, our collections have all grown, and Quince has made it clear that they’re good for far more than their $50 cashmere (though our editors are ride-or-die for that, too, as you’ll soon find out).
By avoiding the expenses of traditional supply chains, Quince makes luxury fabrics like cashmere, silk, and leather accessible by providing them at much lower prices. They keep their pricing transparent and prioritize sustainability, affordability, and quality in their practices. They make buying unbranded, quiet luxury-esque pieces a whole lot more attainable.
Our editors have been slowly adding Quince pieces to our wardrobes over the past couple of years, and we’re breaking down our honest thoughts on each.
The Cashmere Oversized Boyfriend Cardigan
I bought this cardigan last year, and it’s easily the most worn sweater in my closet. It’s super soft and is the perfect cozy piece that can be dressed up and down throughout fall and winter. You’ll catch me wearing it with leggings while I WFH and with straight-leg jeans and sneakers on the weekend. I ordered a medium, and it’s perfectly oversized. I love it so much I bought it in grey this year!

The Cashmere Fisherman Sweater
A good crewneck sweater is the staple of my winter wardrobe, and this cashmere fisherman-style sweater is one I know I’ll have in rotation for years. It’s warm but not too bulky and is easy to layer in colder weather. If I were to order again, I’d probably size up to a large for a more oversized fit, but regardless—if you’re looking for a classic (and affordable) cashmere crewneck, this one deserves a spot in your closet.

The Alpaca Quarter Zip Sweater
I looked for the perfect quarter-zip sweater for MONTHS before choosing to go with this one. The wool is not at all itchy—which is always a risk when ordering wool—and is in fact so soft it rivals my cashmere cardigan. I frequently throw it on with jeans and sneakers for the perfect “I’m running errands but tried to look cute” outfit, but it can easily be dressed up or down based on the occasion.

The Leather Bomber Jacket
BEHOLD! My favorite purchase of the year. I was in the market for a new leather jacket, but have always had a hard time finding a style that I’d actually want to wear all the time. The biker and moto styles, though they look amazing on so many people, just aren’t right for me. When Quince came out with this leather bomber, I immediately ordered it. This style is designed to be a little more fitted, but I sized up so I could fit sweaters underneath it during the winter. It’s on trend, yet still timeless, and true to literally everything else I own from Quince, ridiculously soft and comfortable for a leather jacket.

The $50 Cashmere Crewneck
It’s me, Jess—the one who can’t get enough of this $50 cashmere sweater. I did a full breakdown on it here, but the short version is that you absolutely can’t find a better quality sweater for this price point. It’s my go-to on chillier days when I know I need a little extra warmth.

The Cashmere Sweater Set
After hearing my co-workers rave about Quince cashmere, I bit the bullet and ordered this uber-cozy cashmere set for fall and winter, and I don’t regret it one bit. The cashmere is incredibly soft, and I’m in love with the rich, on-trend brown color that I chose. The cut of the straight-leg pants is so flattering, and when styled with sneakers and a long wool coat, it makes for the perfect upgrade to a weekend errand outfit. I also get use out of the sweater separately and often pair it with jeans for a more elevated-casual look.

The Sherpa Mini Boots
I’ve had my eye on the Ugg Ultra Mini Boots for years now, but I could never justify the $150 price tag. As soon as I saw these near-identical ones on Quince, I panic-added them to my cart because I feared they’d sell out before I got my hands on them. Ever since the day they arrived on my doorstep, they’ve been my go-to shoes no matter where I go—whether it’s to a coffee shop with a friend, a workout class, or the grocery store. I sized down one size, and they fit me perfectly. For half the price, I’m so glad I went with these instead of Ugg’s version.

The Water Repellent Suede Clog Mules
I never got on the Birkenstock clog train last year when they first started coming into style, but after seeing how cute they were throughout fall and spring, I knew I finally wanted to get my own pair. The only problem is that the suede on the Birkenstocks would have been nearly impossible to wear in the rainy Pacific Northwest where I live. When I saw Quince come out with their own version that was water-resistant it was an instant-buy. I wouldn’t wear them in a heavy downpour, but on an otherwise dry day I don’t have to be worried about wearing these if it starts to drizzle. These shoes are also incredibly comfortable on the foot—they’ve become my go-to for cozy cold-weather outfits.

The Italian Wool Coat
When I say I’ve been on the hunt for a black wool coat for almost two years, I mean it. I have searched high and low—in thrift shops across the Chicagoland area and on resale sites. I’ve ordered at least five that I’ve ended up seeing in real life and returning—that is, until this one arrived in the mail. This is truly the wool coat of my dreams. It’s perfectly oversized in a menswear-esque way, it’s completely timeless, and most importantly, it’s super, super warm. I ordered my true size (a small), and it’s oversized enough that it can fit layers underneath it with no problem. I love it so much that I’m also asking for the camel version for Christmas. I cannot recommend this coat enough.

The Cashmere Hoodie
I’m a hoodie girl through and through, especially on days that I work from home, and this cashmere one has elevated my loungewear game tenfold. I can dress it up a bit if I want to, but I love how it makes me feel a little more put-together than a traditional sweatshirt does when I’m lounging at home. I’m super sensitive to fabrics, and this one is so soft that I wear it with just a bra underneath—no barrier necessary.

The Leather Trench Coat
This leather trench coat came into my life this year, and I’ve fallen completely in love with it. It’s one of those luxe, investment-type pieces that I know I’ll have forever, and I’ve found myself reaching for it multiple times a week over the past few months. It’s warm enough that I can wear it with a sweater during mild winter weather, too, and you bet I’ll be taking advantage of it as long as I can. I sized up one size, which gave me the perfect amount of room to be able to wear chunkier pieces underneath.

The Cotton Boyfriend Sweater
This little sweater has become one of my absolute favorite pieces I own. It’s extremely thick and heavy and feels like one of those sweaters I’d try to steal from my dad’s closet. It might not look like anything special or groundbreaking, but the material of it in person is what makes me reach for it as often as I do. I sized up two sizes to get an oversized fit, but I probably would have been fine sizing up just one instead.
