After becoming known for her sleek, slick-back bun hairstyles that led the quiet luxury trend, the new mom’s short, soft cut came as a stunning surprise when debuted via Instagram reveal on Saturday. “Alright. I have been thinking long and hard about this,” said Richie Grainge on hair stylist George Curran’s TikTok, which showed the entirety of her chop journey. “I did one too many keratin treatments and over the past six months like I’ve just been cutting at it and cutting at it hoping I can this, like, dead away, and it’s just not going away and I know what I have to do to make this hair healthy again. It needs to start over, so we’re cutting a bob.”
Accompanied stylishly with a European backdrop, black tank, and striped skirt, her new ‘do looked particularly effortless with her minimal summer wardrobe (she aptly captioned the photo ‘French Bob’). “The last time I had a bob I was like a crazy teenager,” Richie Grainge continued in the TikTok. “And I didn’t style it. Not one day.” However, she seemed to have higher hopes for this bob. “I love my bob… I freakin’ love it,” she said after the reveal in the video.
The look was also approved by none other than the bob queen herself, White Lotus‘s Leslie Bibb, who commented on Richie Grainge’s post, “welcome sister.” Needless to say, it’s safe to assume Richie Grainge’s cut is going to have salons booked with an endless stream of chopping appointments this month.
