Over the past year, the way many of us approach jewelry was completely revamped. The dainty designs of years past have been exchanged for loud, large, over-the-top pieces (looking at you, starfish obsession of summer 2024). Spring 2025’s jewelry trends are following suit, with maximalist styles entering the scene that have the potential to transform an outfit on their own.
chronic fatigue, you better count your days
February’s New York Fashion Week street style provided sighting after sighting of large-scale, overstated accents that completely dominated street style, signaling that minimalist jewelry might officially be a thing of the past. Whether you’re a capsule aficionado or gravitate toward more maximalism, these seven jewelry trends can single-handedly revamp your spring style.
1. Statement Rings

This year’s ring trends seem to have graduated from thin, stackable bands to statement, cigar-style ones. From dome-shaped metals to kitschy, colored gems, spring’s statement rings give easy facelift to simple looks like jeans and a tee or trousers and a sweater. The one-step addition may seem subtle, but rest assured, it’s anything but.
2. Stacked Bangles

With each new season, I wince at the possibility that this could just be the year that bangles are no longer trending, but alas, my everyday wrist stack has been marked safe by the powers that be. This year, instead of slim-fit bangles, retailers are delivering a myriad of resin and mixed-metal options for a larger-than-life stack that can be easily worn over sweaters and tees or elevated dresses and blouses.
3. Mixed Metals

Part of the allure behind two-toned jewelry is its uncanny ability to complement any skin tone—and nearly any look. It’s not a new trend, per se, but it’s one that’s gearing up to make a brand new statement this season. You can take your pick of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings in versatile, two-toned designs.
4. Organic Pearls

While pearls might muster up images of your grandma’s go-to jewelry, this spring’s pearl options are anything but. Asymmetrical, organic pearls are the unexpected finishing touch on jewelry that can compliment nearly any outfit. If there were ever a lesson in reinventing a classic, it’s this season’s revival of pearls.
5. Big Beads

Last summer’s colorful, beaded jewelry is making a return to the scene on a much larger scale—both physically and figuratively. Large, over-the-top beads are providing the opportunity to add pops of color to any and all outfits, and with plenty of affordable options to choose from, it’s a trend that everyone can get on board with.
6. Layered Necklaces

The rise of charm necklaces seems to have made the art of layering fall to the wayside. Fortunately, though, layered jewelry is back, and can be achieved with any combination of jewelry you have in your arsenal. If you want to avoid tangling, there are plenty of pre-stacked options to choose from.
7. Vintage Brooches

Much to the public’s surprise, the TikTok algorithm has recently proven that brooches can transform nearly any garment in a snap. The fashion band aid, if you will, can make anything from tees to button-downs look almost unrecognizable. If you’re lucky enough to have a vintage option at your disposal, try your hand at pinning it to your top the next time you get dressed; if not, there are sculptural and kitshy options galore to choose from.
