Interior Designer — Inspired Interiors

Location: Chicago, IL
Compensation Based Upon Experience

Inspired Interiors is looking for an Interior Designer with 3-5 years of experience in high-end residential design. Our team is seeking a creative, innovative, and forward-thinking designer who can collaborate and communicate throughout the entirety of assigned projects.


  • Assist in developing overall design on projects and span plan development on projects
  • ‪Manage project budgets and negotiate bids
  • Communicate with vendors and showrooms to request quotes and track orders
  • Research products and assist with the selection and specification of finishes, lighting, equipment, and furniture
  • Prepare CAD drawings under the direction of Lead Designers
  • Prepare InDesign and Photoshop presentations under the direction of Lead Designers
  • Oversee the order expediting process to ensure timely orders and deliveries
  • ‪Ensure quality installations
  • Review technical drawings
  • Wear various hats and be willing to support other team members, especially during busy times
  • Any other assignments as needed


  • Interior Design or Architectural Degree
  • Experience with WoodMode or other cabinetry lines (design and specification)
  • ‪3-5 years of experience in interior design
  • ‪Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Photoshop
  • ‪Proficiency in AutoCAD & SketchUp
  • ‪Knowledge of high-end showrooms and product lines
  • ‪Experience in expediting orders and coordinating installations
  • ‪Experience in space planning, furniture selection, and color compositions
  • ‪Experience with custom furniture
  • ‪Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • ‪Ability to adapt to the needs and taste of the client
  • Highly organized and punctual
  • ‪Ability to multi-task and adaptable to ever-changing demands
  • ‪Can handle an extremely fast paced environment
  • ‪Detail oriented
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
