The Bundle of Joy — Summer Intern

ABOUT THE BUNDLE OF JOY:
The Bundle of Joy is a San Francisco-based giving company founded by Caroline Curran that curates and ships gift boxes full of products that parents actually need — think nail clippers, teethers, nipple cream, diaper cream, and more. For each Bundle purchased, a donation is made to a nonprofit. We work with consumers and are focusing this summer on growing our corporate gifting program. Additionally, we have a vibrant community of moms around the country who contribute to our thriving blog.

THE ROLE:
The Bundle of Joy is looking for an intern for the summer in San Francisco. This position is two (2) days a week and is a non-paid internship.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Be a key player in identifying corporate partners, maintaining sales data and reports. Assist team with preparation of presentations, filing, and order fulfillment. Customer service, copywriting, and photography skills are highly desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Students studying these fields: Graphic Design, Business, Merchandising, and Marketing are encouraged to apply. We are looking for individuals who possess self-direction but also love to collaborate. We are looking for someone with a great attitude who wants to learn but also isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get new initiatives off the ground.

The Inside — Graphic Designer

Are you a trained graphic designer with an enthusiasm for home decor and an energy for start-ups? Are you a self-starter, ready to create exceptional digital solutions? As our first full-time graphic designer, you would play a critical role in evolving and unfolding our brand story both on our site and within our business communications, from email to showroom signage to our website. Your work would touch almost everything we put out into the world. You would be on the ground floor of a fast-paced, fast-growing start-up that is revolutionizing how home is made. You would help us build a world-class creative team and a gorgeous, compelling brand.

Location: This role is based on our NYC headquarters.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Collaborate and support the Senior Design Director to evolve and develop the brand through assets that enhance communication (including email), physical collateral (including direct mail, swatch packages, showroom signage), and website; balance commercial awareness with superior creativity
  • Collaborate with developers to achieve visual design quality in scalable digital solutions
  • Ensure UX and brand best practices are upheld through all digital touch points
  • Partner with Senior Design Director to propose design solutions that are both meaningful in metrics and brand mission — while supporting data-driven requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 2-3 years of graphic design experience
  • Excellent command over adobe creative suite
  • Exceptional design portfolio
  • Creativity is an absolute must!
  • Strong initiative, adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, smart, creative, passionate
  • On the cutting edge of latest trends and best practices
  • Ability to work from our NYC offices

Storybook Weddings and Events — Part-Time Lead Wedding Coordinator

Storybook Weddings and Events is looking to hire a driven, part-time Wedding Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1-3 years experience in the Events Industry

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Lead Coordinator will be responsible for working with clients from the Initial Sales Consultation through various meetings for the purpose of gathering vendor information and organizing wedding contracts and timelines with the goal of executing a successful and smooth wedding day.

Wedding Days will consist of being on your feet for 8-18 hours managing vendors, overseeing staff, managing client expectations, problem-solving, and keeping the event on schedule.

Our goal is to have this employee be promoted to a Lead Wedding Planner within 6-12 months. During this promotion process, the Lead Coordinator will gain insight to the Lead Planner Role by being responsible for assisting the Owner/Lead Planner on various tasks from updating spreadsheets, answering emails and phone calls, and attending planning and vendor meetings.

Nate Berkus Associates — Summer Design Intern

Nate Berkus Associates is looking for an intern for the semester beginning in May 2018 in our Chicago office.  This is a non-paid internship.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

Responsibilities include maintenance of the sample library, assisting Designers and Design Assistants with pricing, quotes, and selection of materials which may require trips to the Merchandise Mart. Other duties may include Cad, drafting, and entry of specifications into our design tracking program, assisting with preparation of presentations as well as filing and other administrative duties.
