Some people prioritize hair, others prioritize skincare. Me, though? I’m a nail girl, through and through. If an at-home nail product exists, chances are I’ve tried it (my bathroom storage is bursting with every brand of nail polish, nail extension, and press-on imaginable). As a DIY nail connoisseur (and as someone who’s particularly tough on their nails), my expectations for nail polishes and how they hold up are high. One brand that’s risen to my lofty standards over the years is Chillhouse, so when I saw the press-on brand released its first foray into nail polish with the launch of the Forever Wear line, I knew I had to give it a shot.
If you’ve found yourself panic-googling “cheap Mother’s Day gifts” at the eleventh hour, CVS has a lineup of under-$25 gifts that are thoughtful, cute, and look way more expensive than they actually are.
About Chillhouse’s Forever Wear Chill Paints
Chillhouse’s Forever Wear polish line promises up to 14 days of long-lasting, gel-like performance—no UV lamp required. The polish’s formula includes hibiscus flower extract, a strengthening agent that boosts keratin production; hexanal, a compound that can increase keratin production; and buckwheat seed extract, a nutrient-rich superfood that can help support nail growth. The Forever Wear polish launched with 20 color options, which retail for $12 and are non-toxic and 25-free.
My Review on Chillhouse’s Forever Wear Chill Paints
After months of giving my natural nails a breather and hunting for reliable, at-home polish options, I was excited to give Chillhouse’s Forever Wear Chill paints a try. I ordered three different colors from their collection: Rose Milk, a buildable nude pink; Mon Amour, a bold, bright red; and A La Taza, a warm, chocolate brown.
The application of this polish reminded me a lot of my tried-and-true Olive & June polishes. The first coat applied quite sheer, but the second coat gave me the even, opaque finish I want in a polish. I waited about 10 minutes between applying each coat to give each layer time to dry, then finished up with the top coat. This is where I really felt like the magic happened. While I wouldn’t say the polish itself has the same finish as gel, the top coat did plump up the look of my nails, making them appear glossy and smooth in a way that does rival a nail salon appointment.

The ultimate test for me was how long Forever Wear could last without chipping. The polish ended up lasting a whopping eight days on my nails before showing signs of wear. While it wasn’t the full two weeks that were promised, I generally have a hard time getting my nails to last more than four days, so I considered this a massive win. When I removed the polish after day eight, my nails didn’t feel brittle or flakey like they sometimes do when I remove other polish, which made me feel that its nourishing properties were also paying off.
The Final Verdict
Chillhouse’s Forever Wear Chill Paints are a win in my book. I love that they’re a salon-quality product that are actually good for your nails—goodbye, damaging polishes and UV lights—and that they can survive wear and tear. At $12 a bottle, they’re also one of the more affordable long-wear polishes I’ve tried. In my hunt for a nail polish that satisfies my itch for a gel manicure, so far, Chillhouse’s Forever Wear Chill Paints are the winner.
