A few weeks ago, the Damson Madder Jerry Trench Coat came across my desk (read: came up on my TikTok FYP). I immediately thought, Wow, this has to be the most perfect trench coat ever made. I then proceeded to have my heart broken when I learned it was either backordered until November or out of stock virtually everywhere.
The trench’s design serves as a brand new take on the classic trench. It has an oversized, almost ’50s-inspired swing silhouette and is reversible to a gorgeous blue plaid. It also includes a removable plaid scarf you can wear to match the side you’re wearing, or the inverse. So instead of being sad about not being able to get the coat for myself, I did what I do best. I turned to the internet to find the absolute best alternative options.
I looked everywhere, and I think I came up with some excellent choices. My personal plan of action? Acquire a short, oversized green trench and a plaid triangle scarf to achieve the same look.
