With all the celebrity beauty brands on the market, it’s hard to rise above the fray—but somehow, Lili Reinhart has done just that with the launch of her new skincare brand, Personal Day. This is no botched, awkward press-tour-beauty-brand-pr-stunt combo (iykyk). Instead, Lili Reinhart is giving us the celeb skincare line we’ve all been waiting for: a brand with a strong message, well-crafted and expert-vetted products, and a streamlined focus.
Lili has come a long way since her time on Riverdale. Now, her main focus is raising awareness around mental health, and Personal Day is an extension of that effort. The brand’s identity focuses on acne-prone skin, with mental well-being and holistic self-care at the forefront of its messaging. Plus, two of the launch products contain a new ingredient that’s exclusive to Personal Day for the next two years—color us impressed. Curious whether Lili Reinhart’s skincare line will have a space on your shelf? Here’s what you need to know:
Personal Day focuses on the connection between acne and mental health
So, why does the world need another celebrity beauty brand? According to Lili Reinhart, it’s because most brands don’t explicitly acknowledge the link between mental health and skin, and she’s ready to change that. In an exclusive interview with Glossy, Lili explained how her mental health took a hit when she first entered the spotlight and was struggling with acne in her late teens. “I felt like I was surrounded by people who didn’t have that problem,” she said. “Being open about this has never been about validation. It’s just [about] seeking to feel less alone.” According to Lili and her Personal Day co-founder, Shelagh Wong, mental health is at the forefront of the brand’s mission.
Personal Day boasts a kick-ass advisory board
If there’s one thing I’ve personally learned about beauty brands over the years, it’s that they’re only as good as the team that creates them. Luckily, Personal Day has an advisory board that even iconic, prestige beauty brands could envy. The board includes Lili’s esthetician, Sarah Ford; dermatologist and dermatopathologist Dr. Mamina Turegano; and psychologist Dr. Courtney Tracy. Dr. Turegano has 1.2 million TikTok followers, and Dr. Tracy has 1.7 million—so Personal Day already has a big audience. Plus, Lili’s decision to include a psychologist on the board of her beauty brand speaks to just how committed Personal Day will be to mental health.
Personal Day has exclusive access to mevalonic acid
If you’re a beauty nerd, then one of the most exciting things about Personal Day skincare is that it will use mevalonic acid in its products. This ingredient is patented by the brand’s supplier, meaning it’s exclusive to Personal Day for the next two years. Mevalonic acid is an epidermal growth factor that strengthens the skin barrier, reduces signs of aging and hyperpigmentation, and boosts the skin’s capacity for collagen production. The ingredient stars in Personal Day’s Everybody Stay Calm Recovery Mask and the Dive Deep Mevalonic Moisturizer. Clearly, Lili’s brand goes even deeper than great marketing and an impressive mission—it’s science, too.

Personal Day has launched with five products ranging from $24-$36. All five Personal Day skincare products are dermatologist-developed, acne-safe, and cruelty-free.
This powder transforms into a lather for gentle cleansing. With the help of micro-exfoliants, it gives pores a deep clean without stripping the complexion of hydration.
This acne treatment uses salicylic acid to clear active breakouts, while azelaic acid and niacinamide work to calm redness, even skin tone, and brighten complexion. TL;DR: It simultaneously clears and prevents acne while calming irritated skin.
This moisturizer includes hero ingredient mevalonic acid, a new-to-market ingredient that can boost the natural production of hyaluronic acid and collagen. With additional help from azelaic acid and squalane, this formula is ultra-hydrating, but not greasy.
Thanks to a blend of potent AHAs and BHAs, a thin layer of Personal Day’s Even Keel Resurfacing Peel helps banish clogged pores in 5-10 minutes.
This mask includes zinc, azelic acid, mevalonic acid, and chlorophyll to soothe irritated, acne-prone skin. It deeply hydrates while targeting pesky post-acne dryness and redness.
