Secrets from a Makeup Artist: the 10 Best Highlighters

Highlighters have become one of the most sought-after products in the beauty industry for the past couple of years. It feels like everywhere you look, there’s a new tutorial that touts their greatness. Because seriously, who doesn’t want to try and achieve that famous JLo Glow?! But first, you have to buy the right highlighter for your ever-glowing needs — so what highlighters are the best and where do you find them!? After years of testing every highlighter on myself and my clients, I am sharing my 10 favorite highlighters that give a range from a natural subtle to an “OMG! You are blinding me!” finish.

Flexitarian Super Shock Highligher, $8

Known for its velvety-smooth, cream-powder formula, Colourpop's Super Shock highlighters have made a name for themselves. Flexitarian is one of the best selling shades — it’s a silvery-champagne color with a pearlized finish that is super buildable!

I recommend applying with finger tips for the most intense application, but if you want a more subtle glow, they recommend you use a duo-fiber brush to give your skin an airbrushed look!
