I’ve had a longstanding, incredibly one-sided beef with concealer. For a decade, I’ve watched people on social media swipe just a smidge of the product. Then, their their dark circles and blemishes disappear. But no matter how many products I try that claim to blend seamlessly into skin with no creasing, I’m left thinking my skin honestly looked better without any concealer every time.
The way it sticks to any dry patches and settles into fine lines makes it feel like I’ve drawn a big arrow on my face pointing to skin imperfections rather than blurring them out. After testing what feels like hundreds of concealers, I’ve finally found one that delivers on that concealing promise: the Lisa Eldridge Luminist Concealer. And it does it all while still making my skin look fresh and natural.
What Is the Lisa Eldridge Luminist Concealer?
If you aren’t familiar with Lisa Eldridge, she is royalty in the beauty business. She started out as a celebrity makeup artist before creating her own makeup line. She’s done gorgeous looks on pretty much any celebrity you can name. Known specifically for her incredible face products, her concealer is the latest release in the collection, and it definitely blew me away.
I’ll admit, based on my history, I really wasn’t going into testing this concealer with high hopes. I’ve been sold on “moisturizing,” “dewy,” and “easily blendable” one too many times without the results to back it up. But you know a concealer is good when you leave your room wearing it by itself and your roommate asks what looks different about you. The Lisa Eldridge Luminist Concealer has a second-skin finish and feels almost serum-like. So, if your goal is skin that looks dewy, fresh, and glowy, it will be right up your alley.
What Makes the Lisa Eldridge Luminist Concealer Different?
I’ve heard these claims before, but this product’s delivery is different. Serum-like concealers used to mean zero coverage, but this one promises not to compromise coverage for a dewy complexion. Somehow, it does both beautifully. It also has a diverse shade range that many brands should take note of and aim to replicate.
My Honest Review of the Lisa Eldridge Luminist Concealer

You know I’m a changed woman when I say I’ve been reaching for this product to dot under my eyes, even on days when I’m wearing no other makeup. It truly brightens and hydrates while still giving me coverage. It honestly feels more like a skincare product than a makeup one. I never notice it on my skin until I catch a glimpse in the mirror and wonder where my under-eye circles went.
I was worried about longevity given how moisturizing this product is. But thankfully, it lasts far longer than my other concealers. Usually, I set my under-eye area the second I apply concealer, and there’s still creasing by the time I’m applying the finishing touches. But with Luminist Concealer, I sometimes don’t even use powder to set it when I’m going for an even more minimal look. Needless to say, I can finally understand why concealer has been so many people’s desert-island product for years.
