More specifically, I’m obsessed with the red nails that Selena Gomez rocked over the weekend.

Selena’s nails were a master class in cherry red, which happens to be one of the top beauty trends of 2025. As a red nail connoisseur, I know that it’s not easy to find the perfect not-too-warm, not-too-cool shade of red, but the color that Selena sported on March 20 while on a date night in NYC was absolute perfection. The cherry on top (pun intended)? The exact polish she used is only $10.
According to a press release, celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik created the gorgeous manicure using the shade ‘Rock the Runway’ from essie. Though her high-shine nails may look like they require a UV lamp to cure, essie’s newly reformulated gel by essie line delivers the same glossy finish without the need for anything but the polish itself. Bachik began with ‘Rock the Runway,’ then topped it with gel by essie’s top coat for more shine and extra staying power. To keep Selena’s nails moisturized, Bachik also used Essie’s roll-on nail and cuticle oil (a great investment if you want your at-home manicure to feel a little more luxe).
Personally, I’ll be copying Selena’s red nails all spring long.
