I’ve been a customer of Sakara, a whole body wellness company known for its luxurious plant-based meal delivery, for years (literally—I purchased their cookbook in 2019). I’ve long admired the brand’s founders, Whitney Tingle and Danielle DuBoise, for their dedication to helping women heal using plants as medicine and giving people access to the freshest, healthiest ingredients in a society that thrives on preservatives and fast food. While so many supplement and food brands are greenwashed with hidden preservatives or added sugars, and skinny-at-all-costs culture has made a disappointing comeback in recent years, Sakara has remained my go-to brand that I both use and recommend for products that do what they say they will. Health brands: In a world of diet-culture marketing, detox teas, and chemical-laced protein powders, be Sakara.

As both a personal fan and professional wellness guinea pig, when Sakara launches a new product, I pay attention. But honestly, it was hard not to notice when the launch of their latest supplement line exploded among wellness girls and health experts alike (and as a freak for aesthetics who not only wants wellness products that work but also look pretty on my countertop, I can’t deny the chic design did not immediately tickle my fancy). The new line is meant to redefine supplements: “We’ve gotten to a point where there is a lot of noise out there about what to eat, what to do, or what your wellness routine should look like,” DuBoise said. “The supplements are meant to be quick and easy additions to your routine,” added Tingle. But are they worth the price? I did the research and testing so you don’t have to.

“In a world of diet-culture marketing, detox teas, and chemical-laced protein powders, be Sakara.”

What is Sakara’s new supplement line?

The new line of daily essential supplements is made up of four products designed for whole-body wellness. The Sakara Supplements line features easy-to-incorporate daily elixirs, gummies, and capsules that seamlessly fit into your daily routine. Carefully formulated to promote optimal health and longevity, each supplement is designed to elevate wellness and support a vibrant, balanced lifestyle.

All products are made with the highest quality, whole food ingredients and have incredibly strict standards (some of the strictest I’ve seen from a U.S.-based company!): Ingredients in highly bio-available formats (this means your body can actually absorb the vitamins or minerals), intentional dosage (lots of vitamins contain insane excess), third-party testing to ensure the product’s potency, purity and label accuracy, and also guaranteed from an independent party that the products have been tested for contaminants such as heavy metals, lead, microbes, and other common toxins. So, no, Sakara will not be the next health scandal in the news for hidden toxins (see: Poppi, Banza, etc.).

What are the benefits of each supplement?

The Daily Elixir

If you hate taking pills or mixing powders into your smoothie, this multivitamin is for you. Why take a multivitamin? Over the years, soil quality has declined, which has stripped food of crucial nutrients. The Daily Elixir is Sakara’s solution: made to be exceptionally bioavailable (easy for your body to absorb), this elixir contains the vitamins and minerals you need to thrive (“no more, no less”). It’s made from whole food ingredients (such as organic sea moss, wheat grass, aloe vera juice, and beet root extract) to deliver a wide range of essential vitamins and minerals. Highlights include vitamin E to boost skin radiance, choline to support brain health, and selenium to improve body function.

Cell Reset

This little tincture contains wild blueberry and fulvic acid to support cellular health. I know “cellular health” can seem incredibly vague and confusing, so let me break down what that actually means: Our cells can get damaged by everything from inflammation to toxins to aging to oxidative stress, and obviously, we need healthy cells for every function of the body. This combination of ingredients supports cellular health, reduces oxidative stress, and aids in the elimination of harmful toxins, helping the body detoxify. This tincture works at the cellular level, combatting inflammation and amplifying the effect of antioxidants on the body. With better cellular health, you can immediately experience a lot more energy, but cellular health is also important for every function (from hormonal health to gut health) and contributes to living a long, healthy life.

Night Service

Sakara’s version of a sleep supplement does not contain melatonin and packs more beneficial nutrients than your average sleep supplement. With ingredients like tart cherry extract and reishi mushroom, this powerful pill is designed to boost your mood, ease stress, and relax your body on a physiological level, so it’s tackling sleep issues from multiple angles. In addition to encouraging relaxation and restful sleep, the ingredients also support serotonin production and restore the nervous system, meaning it’s helpful for my anxious girlies who tend to overthink at night. Based on its ingredients alone, IMO it deserves a spot in your hot girl nighttime routine.

Metabolism Gummies

I’m usually wary of any supplement that’s marketed for the metabolism. People often associate “metabolism” with weight, so metabolism marketing is often played to people’s body insecurities; consumers purchase without actually understanding how it affects the body. Metabolism pills are 2025’s skinny tea. So I looked deep into this one, and Sakara’s gummies are clinically tested to actually support metabolic health (their website cites a study that 93 percent of adults in the U.S. are metabolically unhealthy when sharing the reason they created the supplement).

Cinnamon bark and pomegranate fruit extract regulate blood sugar and mitochondrial function, while saffron extract curbs stress-induced cravings, and an extract of Dichrostachys glomerate fruit helps the body convert sugar into energy instead of fat. TL;DR: This gummy (which contains zero added sugar, fillers, or dyes like other gummy supplements, FYI) is made of whole food ingredients that can support metabolic function and blood sugar from the root.

The Routine

I’ve tested hundreds of supplements over my career—that’s not hyperbolic (just ask my floor-to-ceiling “bookshelf” that very quickly turned into a home for all the tinctures, gummies, powders, and pills I test for my job). I kind of loved the simplification of sticking to four basic products that were not a handful of pills but intentional moments throughout my day. I kept The Daily Elixir in my bathroom and drank a tablespoon first thing in the morning after brushing my teeth and tongue scraping, making it incredibly easy to remember. The lemon taste was actually delicious, so I looked forward to it. Next, I went to the kitchen and drank a big glass of water with the Cell Reset, helping me rehydrate before coffee. Drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning was already a part of my routine, so adding the Cell Reset drops was seamless. I also couldn’t really taste anything when diluted in a glass of water, but it has a subtle fruity taste if you take it in a shot of water or under the tongue.

The Metabolism Gummies were another part of the routine I found myself looking forward to—because who doesn’t want to eat gummies? I would either eat the recommended two gummies in the morning before breakfast if I had a busy day (at least I’m self-aware when I know I’ll likely forget) or in between lunch and dinner (which is nice when you’re craving a mini afternoon treat). And then Night Service (the only pill in the line), I kept on my bedside table for easy access (and to build it into my existing routine so I would remember). Every evening before bed, I turned on my humidifier, took two supplements, and read my book. I loved the daily routine these supplements provided and how simple but also nourishing the experience of taking them felt every day.

The Benefits

Supplements—and honestly, most food, workouts, and all other wellness practices or products—are hard to track the benefits of because if it’s a genuine long-term solution, you feel gradual effects over time rather than short-term changes. Especially if you’re not working to heal specific symptoms, effects will be generally less immediate and obvious. Over time, you’ll just feel… better. I’ve been taking the Sakara Supplements line for a month, and I genuinely have felt energized, slept well most nights (my Oura ring can confirm), and did notice a difference in my usual sugar cravings that come after lunch and dinner—most days, I genuinely didn’t even want or need a sweet treat like I normally do. Could supplements be responsible for these benefits? Absolutely (and Sakara’s clinical trials to test the effectiveness are impressive). But these changes could be (and likely are) from multiple different reasons: changes in your cycle, weather, stress levels, etc., can impact all of these factors.

As The Everygirl’s wellness editor, I understand the desire for guaranteed immediate benefits so you don’t waste money. But getting your body healthy does not mean a quick fix; it means supplying it with nutrients that will help support it long-term so that you have a longer, healthier life. I’d like to move us to determining the success of a supplement by its ingredient list and what it can do for your specific health goals instead of just looking at what benefits other people noticed in a month or two or even a year. Because the truth is every body is different, and supplements work differently in every body; you might feel better, worse, or different effects than I do. I think Sakara’s Supplement line is an amazing option for you, not because of quick fix changes I felt in a month, but because the ingredients are clean, powerful, and pack in vitamins, minerals, adaptogens, and more that nourish the body from multiple angles for optimal long-term health.

But one immediate benefit I will mention is the routine the line provides. Supplements can be overwhelming: It’s actually one of the questions I get asked most often (and I share some tips for formulating a supplement routine that works for you in this episode). So to have a simple four-product daily routine that tackles a wide range of goals, from nutrient deficiency to getting better sleep, all in one place, is highly compelling and takes a lot of the guesswork away for wellness girls who want to work on multiple health goals without having to try too hard or research too much—Sakara has transparently done the work for you.
