Craving Fast Food? Try These 15 Homemade Options Instead

Up until two years ago, one of my strongest personality traits was that I was a certified McDonald’s groupie. I brandished the app on my phone’s home screen, visited lovingly three to four times a week, and preferred it over just about any sound, adult meal. At the risk of sounding too dramatic, I was a bit of an addict (artificial flavors and loads of sugar/fat/sodium will do that to you). So when I wanted to trick myself into being a bit healthier, I started by making copycat recipes of my favorite fast food meals with healthier ingredients in the comfort of my own home.

When I cook at home, I save money, make better ingredient choices, and know exactly what is going into the food that I’m eating. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good Crunchwrap Supreme every now and again. But I now carry a certain pride that only comes with making a meal that I know is better for my well-being. If you’re craving fast food, skip DoorDash. Here are 15 guilt-free copycat recipes that taste just as good:

1. Chipotle Chicken Burrito Bowl

2. Chick-fil-A Chicken Nuggets

3. Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich
