Up until two years ago, one of my strongest personality traits was that I was a certified McDonald’s groupie. I brandished the app on my phone’s home screen, visited lovingly three to four times a week, and preferred it over just about any sound, adult meal. At the risk of sounding too dramatic, I was a bit of an addict (artificial flavors and loads of sugar/fat/sodium will do that to you). So when I wanted to trick myself into being a bit healthier, I started by making copycat recipes of my favorite fast food meals with healthier ingredients in the comfort of my own home.
