The first time I tried to work from a coffee shop, I looked like I was moving in—not sitting down for a quick work session. I had my laptop with no case, an iPad shoved to the corner of the table just centimeters from falling to the ground, my phone propped up on my latte cup, and about four different chargers tangled together. I spent the entire day hunched over my tiny screen, tab-switching like a madwoman and wondering why my neck hurt after 15 minutes.

Eventually, I realized something needed to change. My setup wasn’t just clunky—it was actually holding me back from the flexibility I wanted as someone who loves working from different spaces. In my pursuit of a sleek setup that could come with me via train, plane, or automobile, I came across plenty of options, but most looked like they belonged on a shelf in RadioShack a la 1988—not something I’d actually want to carry into a coffee shop.

By the grace of the WFH gods (a couple of editors who had already mastered their remote setup), I was introduced to the MOFT Spark Collection.

My setup before MOFT

Before MOFT, my work-from-anywhere setup was really just all of my electronics sprawled about with no rhyme or reason (or protection from shattering screens). I’d look down at all my things, and it would immediately spike my heart rate. Everything felt so disorganized to the point where I never felt calm throughout the workday. I’m not even a type A person in the slightest—but this was just ridiculous.

I used to carry around a full-size tripod—the kind meant for real cameras, not iPhone content—which barely fit in my bag. Not to mention the judging stares that always lingered when I had to pull it out in public (read: a shy gal’s nightmare). The combination of too many pieces and not enough organization made every workday feel more stressful than it needed to be. Travel days? Forget it. I was either craning over my laptop at a hotel desk or carrying multiple bags to make sure everything I needed could get transported safely (my shoulders still hurt to this day).

My setup after MOFT

Once I swapped in a lineup of MOFT products, I felt like I’d finally cracked the code on portable productivity. Their clever, origami-inspired designs gave me everything I needed to build a functional, ergonomic workspace—without the chaos of cables, bulky gear, or hauling around a carry-on like I’m boarding a red-eye. The MOFT Spark Collection dropped at the perfect time. The colors are so good—playful, vibrant, and just way more “me” than the usual lineup of sad beige tech stuff.

What I didn’t expect? How much the color shift changed my mindset. There’s something about working with tools that feel thoughtful and creative—it actually helps me get into that flow state faster. Whether I’m brainstorming ideas or editing on the fly, this setup puts me in the right headspace to create and do my best work. My new dream team: the dynamic iPad folio + iPhone tripod/wallet stand + laptop carry sleeve.

I started using the Dynamic Folio to turn my iPad into a second screen, and it instantly leveled up my productivity. It props my iPad at just the right angle for Zooms, notes, or a second-monitor moment—and folds flatter than a notebook when I’m done. My phone got a glow-up, too, thanks to the iPhone Tripod/Wallet Case. It flips into a tripod in seconds (no more latte-balancing acts) for content creation or easy scrolling, holds a couple of cards so I can skip the wallet, and looks sleek enough to live rent-free in my everyday carry. But the pièce de résistance? The Laptop Carry Sleeve. She’s the multitasking queen of my workday: a laptop stand, posture hero, and streamlined storage solution in one. My entire mobile office now fits in a medium tote—with room to spare for snacks, lip balm, and a good book.

The MOFT Spark Collection

If you’re looking to upgrade your workspace without veering into tech-bro territory, this collection is a total game-changer. Whether you’re working from home, a coffee shop, a train, or some dreamy remote island, these pieces have seriously simplified my setup. They’re lightweight, fold down flat, and still feel sturdy and stylish. Plus, they’re a subtle reminder that your workspace can be just as vibrant and expressive as the work you’re doing day in and day out.

Whether I’m hopping on a Zoom call while on the go (and don’t want to awkwardly hold my phone at that lethal double chin angle) or filming quick content, this built-in tripod has been my hero. It pops out in seconds, props my phone up vertically or horizontally, and even holds my cards so I have one less thing to take up space in my bag. It comes in a ton of colors, but this butter yellow gives me a pop of sunshine every time I pull my phone out of my bag.

This sleeve does way more than protect my iPad—it transforms into a stand with multiple angles so I can switch from typing to handheld mode in seconds. It’s ultra-thin, so it doesn’t bulk up my tote, and the magnetic design keeps everything in place while I’m on the go. And the yellow/baby blue combo is as eye-catching as it is energizing. I never thought an iPad sleeve would be the MVP of my mobile work setup, but this proved me wrong.

This minimalist laptop sleeve doubles as a stand, so I can set up a comfortable, ergonomic workspace from pretty much anywhere—coffee shops, co-working spaces, even park benches. It’s slim, matches the rest of my gear, and is practically my laptop’s second skin. I use it every single day and honestly can’t imagine my work life without it.
