My Week of Outfits: Ambra Brice, Marketing Manager at Time Inc.

As a marketer in the media industry, I believe in the power of personal branding through appearance. On any given day of the week, I could be asked to attend an event or have the opportunity to network with other professionals, so it is important that I leave a lasting first impression.

I’d describe my style as chic, feminine, and classic. I love investing in versatile staple pieces that can be worn through multiple seasons.  A bold lip color is also a major key for me! During this week, I have a range outfits for any occasion, along with a few tips on how I tackle my week’s challenges.

Monday

This year, I’m shifting my Monday mindset. Instead of dreading my alarm clock going off at 6:00 am, I now think of it as a fresh start! The key is being better prepared. My Sunday routine consists of meal prepping, laundry, and writing a plan for the week. Then on Monday, once I get all dolled up and arrive at work, I’m ready. I typically have a check-in meeting to start the week, so I like to go for a crisp, clean look. For this outfit, I paired my yellow moto jacket with a green culotte corduroy pant. The bold color combos of this outfit put me in good spirits, and I pair animal print shoes with everything!

Tuesday

Tuesday’s are for errands and appointments. It’s so much easier to have one designated evening to handle your business. For work, I like to keep it casual but polished. To achieve this, I typically wear something that will go well with heels or sneakers. For this look, if I were to replace my shoes with a nice pump, I’d be good to go!

Wednesday

Outside of my 9-5, I am the director of high school programming for Seeds of Fortune, a college preparation program. After work, I head to a coffee shop to work on programming outreach or check in with a mentee. This chunky sweater is all I need to survive hump day. It’s super cozy and comfortable for my 5-9 gig. Not to mention, lavender is the perfect seasonal touch for spring!

Thursday

Ahh, I can finally come out of winter hibernation. Which means happier hours and fun prints! To be honest, this look is actually out of my comfort zone, but occasionally I like to try something new. This is completely inspired by my inner Traci Ellis Ross. Her outfits on Black-ish have influenced me to be a little more vibrant.

Friday

After the week is over, I turn into a tourist and search for new restaurants for date night. There are so many hidden gems in the city that it’s a personal rule to not revisit the same restaurant twice. This sheer black top is one of the staple pieces I just purchased for going out to avoid pre-anxiety thoughts, including, “what am I going to wear?” Because let’s face it, you can never go wrong with a black top and a red lip!
