We hope this brings clarity and understanding, especially because the Bridgerton family and friends have some serious astrological layers to them. Like the strong-willed Aries being considered a resilient sign, Anthony Bridgerton is one who can definitely handle a little conflict. It makes sense that Taurus is ruled by Venus, otherwise known as “the planet of love”, as Daphne Bridgerton wants to marry for love and passion as much as for status. As the town gossip, it is only right that you know how to be perceptive, present, and move under the radar. Now, not all Geminis are gossips, but we are certain to be a good one; you’ll need to have the traits of this clever air sign. Lady Whistledown has the power of sharing secrets and details about society because, like Geminis, Penelope is great at blending into the room and mingling with all walks of life, allowing people to quickly warm up to them and feel comfortable, with her secret identity being completely unknown (for the most part). If there is anything that screams Cancer energy, it is that they will go to great lengths to protect the ones they love, much like the Bridgerton family’s mother, Violet. She is sensitive, a natural nurturer, and truly wants what is best for her family. Cancers lead with their emotions and prioritize the feelings of the ones they love, sometimes before their own needs. Violet is an exemplary Cancer by making her children’s happiness her number one priority and keeping her family intact for better or worse.

Queen Charlotte
Bold hair, extravagant clothes, and undoubtedly the center of attention? It couldn’t be more obvious that Queen Charlotte would be a Leo! Whether Leos intend it or not, it is hard not to place them at the center of attention and all the action. The Queen is not only a great leader, but she is great with people and knows how to command a room.

Miss Edwina Sharma is wise beyond her years, and it shows throughout her courtship with Anthony in season two. Like a Virgo, Edwina is intuitive, practical, and often knows what is best for others before they know it themselves. She’s also caring and supportive, like any true Virgo, and falls hard for anyone who is loyal. Though Edwina may not have been right for the viscount, her intelligence makes her one of the most emotionally adept characters in Bridgerton.
Libra
Kate Sharma
If there is one thing Libras can do, it’s finding a balance between beauty and brains, and Kate knows how to do that flawlessly. Kate is a strong-willed and independent person whose only interest is maintaining order and harmony in her life. She is dependable, going out of her way to help her sister find the perfect husband and putting her own needs second. Much like a Libra, she has a sharp tongue and isn’t interested in being easily wooed. But don’t let the hard-to-read ways of an air sign fool you; when it comes to making a decision, they often choose logic over their feelings.
Scorpio
Duke of Hastings
If you looked up “brooding” in the dictionary, you’re guaranteed to find a photo of Simon Basset front and center! The Duke is notorious for his temper, but also his loyalty and ambitiousness—all of which are key traits of this water sign. Like a Scorpio, Simon played his cards close to his chest and was a slow burner when it came to opening up to Daphne, but once he allowed himself to be vulnerable, he was as alluring as he was passionate.

Colin Bridgerton
There’s one Bridgerton sibling that has the truly adventurous spirit of a Sagittarius, and that’s Colin. I mean, the man can not stay in one place, as we see in season 3. He has a restless, wandering spirit and relies on the world to make sense of himself. Colin also has many of the other classic Sag traits—he’s charming and friendly without really even trying, loves to travel, and he’s also a bit hung up on the idea of searching for his ‘purpose’ in life, which gives off total Sag vibes.

Our newest love interest, Miss Sophie Baek, just screams Capricorn energy. Her upbringing from noble to maid has made her into a hardworking, responsible woman, just like the grounded earth sign. She sticks to her values and knows her worth—because her life has been far different from others. Sophie is practical and realistic, knowing that the world the Bridgertons live in is far different from her own. She is loyal and devoted to the people she loves, but Benedict has to prove he is worthy of her devotion before she can fully dive in.
Aquarius
Benedict Bridgerton
The man of the hour, Mr. Benedict Bridgerton, is a total Aquarius—as we will see in the newest season, which stars his Cinderella-style love story. He gives off outsider energy, not ever really fitting the traditional Bridgerton mold. He questions societal rules and yearns for a life that makes sense to him and not to anyone else. He’s intellectual, artistic, and deeply idealistic, and—heck, he has a progressive mindset before the word even exists. Talk about Aquarius energy.
Pisces
Eloise Bridgerton
Leave it to Eloise to be the character who does not engage in typical high society culture. As a Pisces, Eloise is the creative, intuitive character we all need in our lives. She dreams of a different world and refuses to be boxed in by the gender roles of the Regency era, which is total Pisces energy. We especially see her stubbornness and sensitivity come out when it comes to her best friend Penelope’s relationship with her brother, Colin. But at the end of the day, she’s a loyal friend who feels deeply for her friends and family.
