Expertise

Garri has experience writing and researching across many different niches, including news, beauty, fashion, history, sports, and pop culture. She follows trends and storylines religiously, always looking for new and creative ideas to bring to The Everygirl audience. Garri utilizes her sharp organizational and leadership skills to manage the editorial team and content calendar.

Though comfortable writing a story on any topic at the drop of a hat, Garri shines in the pop culture sphere. If you’re looking for in-depth coverage of entertainment properties, book recommendations, or simply want to talk about why Ted Lasso is the perfect show, she’s your girl.

Experience

Garri’s path has been an unconventional one. She used her retail and customer service experience to land her first social media role at Daniel Wellington, a luxury accessory company based in Stockholm. There, she learned how to write short, smart, and engaging copy and was part of a team that grew the brand’s social media followers by more than two million in just two years. But Garri always wanted to be a writer, so she leveraged her passion and creative experience to transition into editorial work at Ranker, where she helped lead the charge for one of the company’s biggest brands on both the editorial and social fronts.

Throughout the years, Garri has developed a sharp skill in turning data into ideas while preserving creative freedom. She aims to empower her colleagues to find joy in experimenting with new ideas and build on their previous successes. Now, Garri uses her nine years of media experience to lead The Everygirl’s editorial team. As a data-driven individual, Garri tracks and audits content performance, identifies areas of opportunity, and optimizes articles for search engine traffic. She also manages the content calendar and all editorial assignments.

Fun Stuff

Garri is a huge soccer fan. If given the opportunity, she’ll talk your ear off about why the USWNT deserves equal pay or how the NWSL (the women’s professional soccer league in the U.S.) deserves more support. She looks forward to watching games every week, but she really loves Sundays in particular—that’s when she plays pickup at the park.

Garri has been an avid reader her entire life and loves the fantasy genre in particular. If her nose isn’t inches away from her Kindle, you can probably find her hanging out with her beloved dogs, Olive and Otis, watching the latest TV show or movie the internet is buzzing about, or eating ramen.
