Going to concerts is probably my favorite thing to do year round, but in the summertime, it really is everything. Whether it’s jazz on the square, John Mayer at my favorite outdoor amphitheater, or your favorite pop star’s stadium tour (Reputation Tour — I’m talking about you), there’s just something about getting with your friends and seeing your favorite music on a hot summer night.
When I saw Harry Styles (life-changing) a few weeks ago, I realized I needed some serious outfit-spiration to figure out just what I was going to wear. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite styles to wear to your next summer concert.
Pair your band tee with fun bottoms.
Band tees are an obvious choice, but pairing yours with a fun bottom like these changes the look. Not only is this look just absolutely stylish, it’ll move with you as you dance the night away.
Make black, white, and denim your outfit formula.
Black and white with denim accents is basically my summer wardrobe at this point. It’s totally chic without being too flashy. Oh, and the red lip makes it all the more Parisian.
Bring your leather into summer with a breezy top
Leather was a total winter staple, but there’s no need for it to be pushed all the way to the back of your closet for summer! Whether it’s a leather mini skirt or pants, adding a breezy, summery top makes them look current and just enough “rocker-chic” for a stadium or arena concert.
Wear a bright colored skirt with a minimal white top
This outfit says “I’m here to have fun.” I’m 100% on the yellow train for summer, and the fit of this skirt screams comfort. Pairing it with a white tank is perfect for an outdoor concert when it’s hot and you’d really rather be wearing nothing.
Feminine white dresses and leather
A concert is the perfect time to pull out the more edgy items in your closet. Pairing your leather boots with more feminine prints or silhouettes gives you a cool girl vibe without feeling like you’re ~too~ grungy.
Dress up your white tee with heels
I’m a sucker for a white tee and jeans outfit for basically any occasion. You can never go wrong. Pairing your white tee with a worn-in black wash denim and metallic heels is anything but basic and great for a nice outdoor concert.
Don’t be afraid to dress up
A concert doesn’t always need to be casual, so get excited to dress to the nines a little bit! An off-the-shoulder top is the perfect way to feel stylish while still feeling yourself. I mean, what if Harry Styles sees you in the nosebleeds and decides that you are the one? You have to make sure you look perfect.
Go with a jumpsuit
You can NEVER go wrong with a jumpsuit for basically any occasion. This one is super dressed up, and I’m getting serious On the Run II Tour vibes. If you’re not channeling your inner Beyoncé (not sure why you wouldn’t be), this can easily be dressed down with a pair of sandals and your favorite statement earrings.
