I’ve grown accustomed to scrolling social media and seeing influencers with gorgeous skin, incredible outfits, and voluminous hair. When you have unlimited access to the best beauty products on the market (and the knowledge of the best angles and filters to make your TikToks look even better), it makes sense that your skin and hair show it. However, a few months ago, I noticed that not only were my favorite influencers glowing from the neck up, but their bodies seemed to have a lit-from-within look as well. Their collarbones were shining, and their arms had a gorgeous sheen. According to them, this was credited to an elaborate shower routine that came with a hefty price tag.
Obviously, this inspired my own body care deep dive, where I spent plenty of my own money testing out the luxury products these influencers raved about. And while most of them did deliver, I grew tired of setting aside so much of my paycheck for products I was literally washing down the drain. But once I experienced the softest skin of my life, I didn’t think I could part with the routine. That is, until I came across a brand that used to rule my beauty cabinet in middle school: eos. With absolutely delicious scents and formulas that deliver, eos’ budget-friendly body care products are now replacing my luxury shower lineup.
eos Body Care Review: The Products I Tried
eos Body Wash
I used to be part of the camp that thought body wash was one of the least important parts of a body care routine. I mean, you use it for a few minutes, then wash it off—what kind of difference can it really make? But I can blame Cyklar for making me see the error in my ways. The right body wash is equal parts cleansing and moisturizing. Until trying this incredible eos one, I thought a staggering price was required to get that formula. I’ve tried both the Jasmine Peach and Strawberry Dream scents. Both are fruity, fun, and feel like they should be triple the price.
eos Shave Oil
This is the first product I tried from eos when I revisited the brand after years. And it’s what inspired me to run to the store to try their entire product line. It’s been a while since I’ve used a designated shaving product (I usually just use soap), but I’m never going back after trying this. It makes your razor glide so smoothly, avoiding razor burn, which I had just come to accept as part of being a woman. The Coconut Waters scent also smells like a tropical vacation. It had me envisioning I was showering in a five-star hotel by the beach.
eos Body Lotion
If you’re someone who hates the feeling of walking around sticky with body lotion, this one from eos is the perfect product for you. It absorbs quickly, leaving your skin glowing and moisturized without feeling like a literal seal. Once you start using it, it will absolutely hook you.
eos Whipped Oil Butter
If you don’t feel moisturized unless you’re covered in the most hydrating, thickest body butter known to man, you’re a Whipped Oil Butter girl. I personally love when a body butter delivers moisture that lasts, rather than disappearing after a few minutes, so I can’t get enough of this product. And the Cashmere Vanilla scent is perfect for gourmand fragrance lovers. It makes you smell like a literal piece of cake (positive connotation). This product removes the need for layering a lotion and a body oil, giving you all the moisture you need in one step.
eos Overnight Lip Mask
Technically, this isn’t a body care product, but the Overnight Lip Mask changed my nighttime routine. After years of shelling out a pretty penny for Sephora-favorite lip masks, this one does the job just as well for a fraction of the price. Plus, I’m a sucker for cute packaging—and it doesn’t get better than this.
