Last year, newly-launched brand Nuuds came onto our radar, and became one of our editors’ go-to brands for elevated basics. They have the kind of basics that make a jeans-and-a-tee outfit have that certain je ne sais quoi that you see on Pinterest but never feel quite able to replicate. Their pieces sold out immediately, but today, they had a restock that we’ve been counting out the days for.

The sweatsuit
Thanks to the iconic Lizzie McGuire Movie, I grew up with the phrase “Lizzie McGuire you are an outfit repeater!” haunting me every time I even thought about wearing an outfit for a second time. These days, though, I couldn’t care less about repeating outfits. Case in point: I ran over to my neighbors for an after-work drink on a Friday night wearing my favorite Nuuds sweat set, and when I saw those same neighbors at an ’80s party the next night, I was wearing the sweat set again (with the right sneakers and a sky-high side ponytail, the look gave off-duty ’80s fitness instructor, trust).
This sweat set really is That Girl for me. The material is live-in soft, yet the sweats are structured enough that I don’t have to worry about looking like I’m wearing a diaper. This is the first thing I reach for on work from home days, when I need to run a quick errand, or if I just want to be as comfortable as possible while still looking like I tried. I can’t live without having it in reach, so when it needs a wash, that’s my sign to do laundry ASAP. Fellow loungewear girlies: you need this set in your rotation STAT.
