We all have a different name for it: that feeling of dread that starts to build up around midday on Sunday. Some of us refer to it as the “Sunday scaries” or the “Sunday blues,” sometimes it’s simply called “The Dread” — which, let’s be real, is slightly dramatic. It’s the feeling of anxiety one starts to feel when thoughts about the upcoming week start to infiltrate the last remaining hours of the weekend, complicating our ability to relax and, ironically, causing us stress before our work week even begins.
The beauty of Sunday stress, however, is that we are not alone — it happens to the best of us and, luckily, there are many techniques to fighting it off. One of our favorite techniques happens to be Sunday meal prep which gives us the perfect excuse to watch a few more episodes of our favorite shows, listen to our favorite playlists and step into the week with a sense of preparedness.
