Unless you’ve quite literally been living under a rock for the past two years, you know very well that the Netflix series Emily In Paris has received all sorts of buzz ever since it first premiered in 2020. Some people deem it endearingly binge-worthy, while others argue it’s a cheesy abomination to Parisians everywhere. Whatever side of Lily Collins history you fall on, there’s no denying that it’s definitely kept us all talking and coming back for more—mainly because of the show’s larger-than-life characters we know, love, or hate-watch.

So, of course, it’s only right to get a little more familiar with these characters before tuning in to the long-awaited Season 3, and what’s a better basis for the job than your trusty zodiac sign? After some deep consideration and Season 1 and 2 studying, the results are in. Here’s which Emily In Paris character you are, according to how the stars align:

Aries: Mindy Chen

Source: Netflix

Three words that come to mind when I think of Mindy Chen are confident, bold, and ready for a good time (OK, not one word, but you get the point). Funnily enough, these also happen to be some of the most admirable Aries traits. Making the brave decision to leave her family in China and create a life for herself in Paris, she’s determined to be a strong, independent lady who has a positive mentality no matter how trying times can get. In true Aries style, she just keeps on keepin’ on and having as much fun as she can in the process.

Taurus: Gabriel

Tauruses are infamous for enjoying the finer things in life, and Gabriel is quite the perfect example of this classic trait. Dabbling in all sorts of bougie French cuisine and wines, he’s rocking with some Michelin-star taste—just as a Taurus should. However, this sign should not be mistaken as being artificial or materialistic. They’re also known to be very grounded and down to Earth, which Gabriel clearly displays by helping Emily live in the moment and overall just being a reliable presence for everyone in his life. A 10/10 chef and a ride or die? You win, Tauruses.

Gemini: Camille

Source: Netflix

It’s a tale as old as time: Geminis are two-faced. But as a Gemini myself, I personally call B.S. on this assumption. I would argue that Camille is a perfect candidate to debunk the allegations, being a prime example of adaptability and approachability instead of the sign’s widely assumed “fakeness.” She strives to help and be kind to others, while also sticking to her own moral compass and not losing her sense of who she is. Plus, her outgoing attitude and 10/10 style totally align with a Gemini’s tendency to be the lovable social butterfly of any friend group. Thank you, Camille, for bringing a little justice to the Gemini name.

Cancer: Alfie

Source: Netflix

Alfie may seem sarcastic and aloof, but underneath that strong exterior is just a big ol’ softie. This is a textbook Cancer characteristic, as they’re known for being sensitive and compassionate while maintaining a tough exterior that prevents them from getting hurt (not to get too deep here… I’m just speaking the truth). But once you finally break through those walls, their sensitivity is very apparent. Also, Alfie is kind of obsessed with the fact that he’s English and makes it known that he’d much rather live back in the U.K. with his family than in Paris. Cancers are definitely known to be homebodies who highly value their loved ones, so that further confirms Alfie as the designated Cancer character.

Leo: Antoine Lambert

Source: Netflix

Like pretty much every Leo, Antoine Lambert is very much in love with himself. Not in a narcissistic way, though—his confidence simply shines through, making it very easy to gravitate toward his inviting presence. While this can still come off as superficiality at times, a Leo’s commitment to loyalty and generosity will always pull through to show their true intentions. Antoine investing in and showing a great interest in Gabriel’s restaurant is undeniable Leo behavior, and we are absolutely here for it.

Virgo: Emily Cooper

When I first began compiling this zodiac roundup, the very first thing I was sure of was that Emily, without a doubt, gives the strongest Virgo energy. She is incredibly meticulous and organized and has a clear vision for the life that she’s chasing after. While these are definitely traits to admire, being obsessed with reaching perfection can end up hurting others along the way—which Emily can unfortunately attest to. Even if they can get in their own way from time to time, Virgos genuinely just want to help and be there for those around them, which Emily makes clear to her Parisian coworkers (even if they think she’s just an obnoxious American).

Libra: Luc

Source: Netflix

While the main traits of a Libra usually surround the ideas of romance, money, and art, Luc actually exemplifies some of the lesser-known (but equally as lovable) qualities they possess. Libras deeply care about balance and harmony in all of their relationships and put in a genuine effort to consider others’ perspectives while also making sure their own are just as clear. His relationship with Emily displays this almost flawlessly, as he goes out of his way to respect and be nice to her, but he also makes sure she knows that she has to take responsibility for her actions. The brutally honest friend that everyone needs, if you will.

Scorpio: Sylvie

Source: Netflix

Sylvie is nothing short of a textbook Scorpio. Her intense passion to pursue anything and everything she wants is undeniable, but this can also lead to her holding grudges towards people she thinks are getting in her way—even when they really aren’t (*cough* Emily *cough*). While you could call it being a “workaholic,” Sylvie just wants to achieve everything that she knows she can and is figuring out along the way that she doesn’t need to bring down others in order to do so, as a true Scorpio knows at heart.

Sagittarius: Benoît

Source: Netflix

Even though Benoît is a more lowkey character in the show, his traits that do shine through fall perfectly in line with those of a Sagittarius. He’s a happy, go-with-the-flow, free spirit with tons of passion for what he feels his are his life callings  (in his case, it’s music and, well, Mindy). You can always count on finding a Sag hanging out and having fun with their close friends or total strangers, making street-performing his match-made-in-heaven type of gig.

Capricorn: Madeline Wheeler

Source: Netflix

As the show’s resident girl boss, Madeline effortlessly displays all of the major Capricorn traits: ambition, drive, and being a big fan of speaking their mind. From never taking her foot off the gas at work despite her very pregnant state to sticking to her sense of style despite the Parisians’ obvious judgment towards her, she’ll never let anyone knock her off balance in true Capricorn fashion. Even though she’s all about her hustle, Madeline, like many other Caps, still has a great sense of humor and always comes through as a good friend when need be.

Aquarius: Julien

Source: Netflix

Intelligence and natural creativity are some of the most notable Aquarius traits, both of which Julien definitely does not lack. He’s a star at his marketing job, knowing that aesthetic is just as important as the more technical bits (he used to steal Vogue magazines to gawk at as a child, so it adds up). His smart, quirky wit shines through in his frenemies-esque relationship with Emily, which is a telltale sign that you’re dealing with an Aquarius—who can somehow maintain a balance between rebelliousness and kindness.

Pisces: Pierre Cadault

Source: Netflix

This famous French fashion designer is just as emotional as he is tough, which describes a Pisces in a nutshell. He cares very deeply for his career and brings his sensitivity and genuine intentions to the surface—despite his “I work in high-end European fashion so I’m super professional ” exterior. A Pisces feels, cares, and understands others very deeply, and Pierre brings that energy to Emily in Paris in a special little way.
